A flesh-eating parasite has crossed the border, and Texas is on high alert! 🪰⚠️

The New World Screwworm has been detected in Texas livestock.These flies target any warm-blooded animal by laying eggs in open wounds. Protect our livestock and pets:

1️⃣ Check your animals daily for unusual painful areas, lesions, swelling, bloody/foul discharge, or maggots.
2️⃣ Isolate affected animals to prevent an outbreak.
3️⃣ Report any suspected cases to your local vet immediately.

‼️We have heartworm/flea & tick medications that will prevent/treat screwworms‼️
