Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 🩵🐾

I’ve been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2017, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t trade this career for the world. From ER and ICU to Neurology and General Practice, every part of this journey has shaped me into the technician I am today, and I’m so proud of the career I chose.

Over the last nine years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some incredible technicians who have taught me so much, supported me, and reminded me why this profession matters. I appreciate every single one of you more than you know. 😭

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been being able to give back to this community and support other technicians. We all know how hard this job can be, and there’s something special about having people who truly understand it in your corner.

To every vet tech out there, thank you for the compassion, dedication, and heart you pour into this profession every single day. I’m proud to be one of you. 🥰

Now please enjoy the flashbacks from tech school where I really was living my best life everyday 🐕🐈🐇🐭

🐾❤️ IT’S ALMOST NATIONAL VET TECH WEEK! ❤️🐾

If you work in vet med, you already know… the long days, crazy cases, getting peed on, covered in hair, bitten by a pet who “never bites” and somehow coming back the next day to do it all over again. 🫣

October 18–24 is National Veterinary Technician Week, and as an RVT myself, I wanted to do something a little fun to celebrate some of the amazing veterinary teams in our area! 🥰

While I won’t be there in person, I’ll be there in spirit! I’m just so blessed to even say I was nominated. I’m literally up against the best in the business and for that honor alone, I couldn’t ask for more! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone who nominated me then turned around and voted for me! It means more to me than yall will ever know. 🩵

TODAY IS THE DAY! 🤠🏆

The Best of Livingston Parish Awards Party is TONIGHT, and we cannot wait to celebrate with y’all!

A few things to know before you head our way:

If you’re planning to come and did not purchase a table, PLEASE bring a chair! This is an outdoor event, and while the weather is looking lovely with low humidity, it is still September in Louisiana… so it’s going to be HOT.

Thankfully, our sponsors Hancock Whitney Bank and Brandy Robertson State Farm are helping us beat the heat with cold neck rags and hand fans for our guests!

From 6-7 PM, come eat, grab a drink, mingle, take pictures, listen to live music and enjoy the ranch. The awards will begin PROMPTLY at 7 PM and run until approximately 8 PM, with the party wrapping up at 9 PM.

And remember, tonight isn’t just about who takes home first place. This is a celebration of ALL of the incredible businesses, organizations and people nominated for Best of Livingston Parish!
