Memorial: "Chloe"

"This is our sweet Chloe who was with us for 17 years. Unfortunately her quality of life was such that we had to send her over the rainbow yesterday, with the help of Dr Pietschmann. We will miss her a lot, we only had her for 17 years, which still is not enough, but fortunately she did have us for her whole life. I called her Glowworm

Memorial: Ember

"Ember was a dog with many nicknames, Embie, Emmy Lou, Moose, Moosey, Moo-moo, wiggle butt (for the constant wiggle she always did if you just looked her way) and the list goes on. She was a very loving and loyal dog and acted like a mother to our new born daughter. She will be forever missed."

Memorial: "Trouper"

"Our Trouper boy, as we spoke of him, was very small when he first arrived into our homes and our hearts. Not even 4 pounds he nonetheless was a bundle of energy!

That changed in the last year or so of his life. But his love of a cuddle was there until the very end. He was a “Federally Recognized Support Animal” for Jean and never left her side! He was with her everywhere ~ from doctor’s appointments to emergency room visits.

He loved to sit on John’s lap as he worked on the computer, concentrating very seriously on the monitor. But his favorite times with John were just being “guys” together and sitting in the big recliner and watching TV.

He didn’t like thunderstorms, fireworks, loud garbage trucks or lawnmowers that whined like an over-sized mosquito. Along with a good scratch behind his ears and a tummy rub; he loved cheese, peanut butter, pizza crusts and chicken nuggets. Also mashed potatoes, rice mixed with turkey burger and basically any other “real people” food he was allowed to have!

We were so fortunate that in 14 years we were never ever apart from him aside from a few overnights at the vet’s. When Jean had to stay in the hospital he would visit faithfully with John every single day. As he grew older he was the one that needed more emotional support and we were glad to provide it!

We were devastated when he was diagnosed with a collapsing trachea and nursed him through his final few months. Thank you to Dr. Holly Pietschmann
(1-847-683-9640)
for her compassionate help with his passing. He was able to pass on peacefully with us right by his side. We miss you so much Trouper, but we know we will be reunited!

Memorial: "Ruby"

"During her 10 years in our family, we watched Ruby transform from a scared rescue puppy to an adventurous, loving, trusting dog.

She loved laying in the sunshine, frozen broccoli, giving hugs (never kisses), butt scratches, hiking, windshield wipers, and feeding the birds.

Ruby was intelligent, memorizing the names of all of her toys and learning countless tricks.
Ruby was adventurous, always ensuring she walked in front of us on hikes, and learning to swim after years of fearing the water.
Ruby was hilarious. We’d often find her lying in contorted positions, staring at us out of the corner of her eye, making silly vocalizations, and initiating play-fights. Not a day went by that she didn’t make us laugh.
Most of all, Ruby was loving. Every day, she would lay in bed and snuggle up to us, nuzzling her snout into our faces. When her kitty sister was sick and laid down in her bed, Ruby, without missing a beat, laid down in the cat’s tiny bed, tucking herself into a ball to fit. If one of us were out of town, she would leap into our arms whining, the moment we walked through the door. She allowed me to cry into her fur during my hardest days, and was her mom's shadow. Ruby loved unconditionally and made friends with all who knew her.

In one of her more memorable moments, Ruby got loose in the backyard and “ran away.” After frantically looking for her, we found her wagging her tail on the front porch, trying to get back into the house. From her first to her last day in our home, Ruby was my soulmate, sister, kindred spirit, adventure buddy, and best friend.

Seeing the world through Ruby’s eyes has been the privilege of a lifetime.
We love you forever and ever Ruby Roo."

Memorial: "Buddy"

"Buddy entered our lives in August 2009 and we were lucky to have him until his transition on his 16th birthday April 15th 2025. He was a beautiful dog who loved catching frisbees in the yard and chasing tennis balls. The neighbors dubbed him “The Mayor” as he sat on the yard and watched the world go by. He always wanted to be right by us day and night. I will forever miss his smile and loving licks. Thank you to Dr. Pietschmann for her compassionate help with his passing. He was able to pass on with us right by his side. You were loved and we will miss you forever."
