My Rex dwarf Tonkinese and Siamese litter are looking super cute! Already the Siamese are showing how dark they are going to be. Their dad is Smash, who always produces super dark Siamese so I expect nothing but pure beauty from this litter! I sure wish one of the Tonks was a girl though - just my luck as they’re both boys and I already have a super handsome tonk boy.

More dwarf babies born today (pic 1). 3 boys and 3 girls. All expected to be Rex and a mix of Siamese and tonk. The second pic was born a few days earlier and a dwarf litter of 8 (which I already posted about) - 5 boys and 3 girls. A few velv. This brings my total dwarf bean count to 14 (8 boys, 6 girls).

Georgia really outdid herself on what is probably her last litter. I paired her to Biggie Smalls my Velv (possibly Harley carrier) dwarf male and they produced 8. 8!! I don’t think many people realize how rare it is to really get that large of a litter of dwarves because I usually average under 5. If I get larger than five there are usually a stillborn or two. Seeing that there are all 8 here with full tummies is amazing.

Right now it looks like 5 boys and 3 girls. There also seems to be a 50% velv in this litter. I do know for a fact I will be holding back at least one boy from this litter a me at LEAST 1-2 girls as I have to preserve the red-eye gene and the Burmese gene from their father.

What I found interesting from this litter are my two red eyed pups. Georgia is red eye but I’ve had Biggie’s line for generations with absolutely no red eye and it’s absolutely entirely c-locus based. As far as I know, Georgia has no clocus in her line. So I am interested to see how these babies turn out - are they red eye or clocus?

And if they are clocus then there is a chance that some of these regular dark eye babies could also be Burmese. I was recently talking to another breeder that you can breed for generations and know your lines fairly well but every once in a while something will pop up from generations and generations ago and randomly surprise you and this is it!

What do you think these red eye babies will be?
