Reliable recall starts with a solid foundation. 🐾 No matter the distractions, 'come' should always be the best invitation they get.

Lola’s internal monologue: 'I am one with the floor. The bowl does not exist. Okay, maybe it exists a little bit...' 😂
Training sessions are paying off! Her impulse control is getting better every day. 🐕💨

Behind every well-trained dog is hours of learning, practice, and continued education.
These certificates represent the time, effort, and dedication I’ve put into becoming the best trainer I can be—for both dogs and their humans. Training isn’t just something I do… it’s something I invest in constantly.

🚨 If your dog stopped breathing… would you know what to do? 🚨

Emergencies don’t wait. And in those first few minutes, you are your dog’s first responder.

That’s why I’ve partnered with Missing Link Pet Services to offer a Dog First Aid, Safety & CPR Class — because every dog owner should know how to act, not panic.

In this class you’ll learn:
✔️ Choking
✔️ CPR
✔️ Common emergencies
✔️ When it’s urgent

Early sign-up pricing is available (with an extra discount for my Done Right clients 👏).

Registration deadline is May 1st — don’t wait until you wish you had this knowledge.

There’s a hard truth in dog training: not all dogs can be safely rehabilitated.

Recently, I made the hardest decision of my career. This was the first dog I’ve worked with that I can confidently say was truly dangerous.

I saw red flags early — escalating prey drive, fixation that didn’t break, inconsistent recovery. Even his “play” wasn’t normal. Location of bite targeting matters, and what I was seeing wasn’t social play — it showed intent.

Training protocols for aggressive dogs were implemented. Structure was in place. He was given consistency, boundaries, evaluation, and a great deal of time, care, and love. For short periods, he appeared stable — but it was a bandage. The intensity always came back.

Because of what I was seeing, I brought in my mentor with 20 years of experience. This was not rushed. It was a full month of evaluation and documentation.

During a four-hour assessment, he launched at my mentor with full intent. If I hadn’t physically had hold of him, the outcome could have been catastrophic. In the crate, the aggression continued with no de-escalation. He snapped at my daughter — something he had never done before — and snapped at my mentor unless food was actively being delivered.

That is not manageable behavior. That is unpredictable aggression.

We may never know the exact cause. But I do know this: unpredictable aggression and children cannot coexist.

As trainers, our job is not to save every dog. Our job is to protect people and make ethical decisions, even when they hurt.

This decision was made carefully, professionally, and with mentorship.

Not all dogs are fixable — and pretending they are can cost lives.

This is my dog room.
Food is prepped.
Bowls are ready.
And every dog is sitting at my feet — calmly waiting.

At Done Right Dog Training, this isn’t about making dogs “wait for food.”
It’s about teaching impulse control, patience, and respect for the process.

Calm dogs don’t happen by accident.
They’re built through structure, consistency, and clear expectations — starting with everyday routines like feeding time.

This is training.
Even when it looks boring. 🐾
