Rambo is working super hard on counter conditioning the ecollar. This is going to be a huge work in progress and will take a long time. Rambo is a rescue pup with no knowledge of his past as he came in as a stray. I have a feeling that the ecollar was used incorrectly on him and used as a no collar instead of an adventure collar. My goal is to get him neutral to the ecollar with so much positive reinforcement and huge rewards to try and great not such a scary reaction to it. I have him on the lowest setting a dog can go on the collar that I’m using and it’s still impacting him so much. Most dogs don’t even feel it on a 1!

We also worked on our heel command and then heavily focused on our recall as that is something mom wants worked on (not pictured in the video). We did some walking around the complex to work on our loose leash walking as well!

Looking for a more affordable option to training? Well look no further! This 6 week course is $125!

Wanting to work on your basic obedience, confidence boost for you and your dog, need some socialization, or just looking to get your dog out and about? Well this class might be for you!

We will work on our sit, down, and place command as well as several other important commands such as here, heel, and two fun ones look and touch! We will be meeting at different locations in Sioux Falls for each class, ending our training working inside Scheels for our graduation!

I’m still debating on dates for this but I will have it decided within the next few days. I just want to get a headcount on who would all be interested in group classes!

Kenji working on his heel dance this morning! And he is rocking and rocking with it despite Vojai being in the way!

Mr. Denver on his weekly walk while mom and dad are out there saving lives! If you know any nurses who are needing their dog(s) let out send them my way! 🤍

Today Rambo worked on several commands! He worked on his sit command with the ecollar. This one for him is going to take a long time to condition as he is very sensitive to it even on the lowest setting. Rambo is a rescue who came to the humane society as a stray so nothing is known about his history. I’m suspicious that his previous owner used the ecollar as a no collar and not a positive fun adventure tool.

Besides some confidence building/ counter conditioning with the ecollar we also worked on our loose leash walking, heel, and a fun one place! He was picking up that place command at the speed of light!! How can I be so lucky to work with such smart kiddos???

Opie has been working on his ecollar here and sit and I am just beyond proud of how this boy is doing! Opie started off being scared of the lowest setting on the ecollar and we are still on the lowest setting but he is thriving so much more! It took a lot of positivity and positive association with the ecollar! Look how far he has come 🥹

Mr. Opie working on his ecollar here and ecollar sit!!! This boy has made so much progress with the ecollar that it is insane! He use to be terrified of the lowest setting and now he is slowly getting comfortable with it!! Opie is such a smart, loving, and anxious boy and I am just smitten with the progress he’s made and him!!!
