One of our biggest supporters for years has been Dakota News Now and I cannot say enough how much their support means!

They came out today to cover the damage to the farm from the storms.

There were so many who helped that were mentioned so know that many of you didn’t make the final cut but I am thankful for everyone who has helped us! 🩷

The farm will be open!

Every Saturday and Sunday until October 25th and I can safely say - rain or shine!😉

I always say - nothing stops me.

I will. Watch me.

And I have great kids, friends and community behind us so now “we” are unstoppable! 💪🏻🩷

Willow Meadows Farm was flooded from the property’s playground area through the pasture, according to owner Kim Hubers. About six inches of rain fell on the farm.

Escaped llamas sure make for some fun pics and videos!

We found out over the last two years that SO many things were done wrong on our farm (no fault of my children or myself) and it has caused a lot of problems we keep having to fix.

I am so glad that there have been great people in the community helping to teach the right way to do things, showing up when we need them and that I have smart and capable boys so that we’re getting everything that was wrong fixed!

It’s been extra work but honestly we have the farm running so smooth (outside of things we have to fix that we’re done wrong) and now its fully run by my 3 boys and myself and we all take a lot of love in pride in our farm!

It’s weird how sometimes we fear change and think it will make life harder and we find out that change actually makes life so much better and easier!

This is the BEST after storm news yet!! 🎉

Losing the corn pit was my biggest fear!!!! This is the most expensive thing each year and I was SO scared!!

In all that storm and chaos I found my rose’s the cow repeatedly pulled up are blooming!!

This is the worse of it and that’s not that bad!

Not having a truck has made the farm close to impossible to manage this year. That and two washouts now in the last couple weeks with rain.

We lost 3 trucks, one a multiple rollover (everyone was ok), one due to divorce that should not have been taken, and one borrowed due to registration issues and a fender bender that are being sorted out.

The hope is that we make enough this year to get a truck so we can continue to grow and function. Nothing big or fancy just enough to haul the dump trailer, car trailer with hay and horse trailer we NEED to run the farm.

My faith is bigger than my fears. But this is a prime example of how do we fix this with no truck?

Woke up to more issues from the storm damage.

I had two Llamas walking through our grove and towards the highway.

We are set up on a hill and where the animal shelters are the water runs south and north because there are basically at the top of the hill and so much sediment had washed down, it raised the ground level about a foot. And Llamas were able to jump the fence after they pushed it down.

They came home quite easily with treat buckets but now we have a bunch of fence to change and a bunch of washout. We have to figure out.

I haven’t even gone down to where we open Willow Meadows farm yet.

I’ll update on that when I make it down there.
