Dr. Garey opened the business in the summer of 1999 and it has continued growing ever since. We moved to our new facility on the West side of Delaware in September of 2014. We currently have five doctors on staff; Dr. Thomas Garey, Dr. Elizabeth Dible, Dr. Amie Segner, Dr. Melissa Dunn and Dr. Tristen Rea.

Important Oakside Updates

🐾💖Celebrating Dr. Rea and Her Next Chapter💖🐾

We have some very exciting—and admittedly bittersweet—news to share with our Oakside family.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Rea as she moves on to the next step in her veterinary career by pursuing a dental residency at Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery of Ohio!

Anyone who knows Dr. Rea knows just how much she loves teeth. 🦷❤️ Dentistry has always been a true passion of hers, and while we are incredibly sad to lose her from our Oakside team, we are beyond excited and proud to see her pursue something she loves so much.

Dr. Rea has truly grown up at Oakside. From her time with us while completing veterinary school to the past five years as a practicing associate veterinarian, Oakside has been a big part of her journey. Along the way, she has become a familiar and trusted face to so many of our clients and their pets. We have watched her grow as a veterinarian, develop her passion for dentistry, and become the wonderful doctor she is today. She will certainly leave a big hole in our Oakside family, and she will be greatly missed by our team and the many patients and clients who have come to know and love her.

While saying goodbye is never easy, we couldn't be happier for her and this incredible opportunity. We can't wait to see where this next chapter takes her!

As we navigate this transition, we ask for your patience and understanding as our team adjusts to this change. Dr. Dible has graciously agreed to stay on with Oakside part-time to help us through this transition, and we are incredibly grateful for her willingness to continue caring for our patients and supporting our team during this time.

We also want to share an important change to our office hours. Beginning in October, Oakside will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM. We will no longer be open on Saturdays. We understand that this is a significant change and may be difficult for some of our clients, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we make this adjustment. Our goal is to continue providing the same compassionate, high-quality care to our patients while also supporting our team through these changes.

Thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding. We are so grateful to have such an amazing Oakside family. ❤️

We have been notified that a bat in the City of Delaware has tested positive for rabies.

👉Please always take precautions if you or your family come in contact with a bat.
👉Make sure your inside and outside pets are vaccinated.
👉Keep window screens in good repair and ensure they are in place whenever windows are open.
👉Leave bats alone if they are outside. If you are concerned that bats may be living in your home, contact a qualified wildlife professional for safe removal and exclusion.

🚨⚠️ ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️🚨

After 24 wonderful years at Oakside, Dr. Dible will be retiring this October.

Within four years of opening Oakside Animal Clinic on South Sandusky Street, Dr. Dible joined the team in 2002 and was a welcome addition as we worked to keep up with the rapidly growing practice. Since then, she has cared for countless pets and built lasting relationships with the families who entrusted their beloved companions to her care. Her compassion, dedication, and commitment to her patients have made a lasting impact on so many lives and on all of us who have had the privilege of working alongside her.

As she looks forward to retirement, Dr. Dible will have more time to enjoy the things she loves—including spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and relaxing at the lake. We are excited for her to have the opportunity to slow down and enjoy this next chapter.

Please join me in thanking Dr. Dible for her 24 years of dedication to Oakside and in wishing her a very happy and well-deserved retirement!
