We are reaching out to share critical updates regarding our scheduling and service availability at TAHO during a challenging time.
Effective October 5th, TAHO Delaware will transition to alternative operating hours: 9 AM to 5 PM. Please note that our services will be temporarily limited as we work with a reduced staff of part-time veterinarians. Your understanding is greatly appreciated as we navigate these necessary changes.
Our situation is serious. The veterinary field is facing unprecedented challenges, including a critical shortage of veterinarians. As with many organizations and shelters who share a similar mission, this shortage has severely impacted our staffing capabilities and, in turn, our revenue. We will begin fighting to stay operational and open. These additional decreases in income will place TAHO in a precarious position, jeopardizing our ability to provide the essential services our community relies on.
We understand that our limited availability may result in the loss of some clients and patients. This deeply saddens us, as we wish to help all who need us. We acknowledge that this may bring frustration, but we kindly ask for your patience and support for our team members, who are doing their best in a challenging situation that is beyond their control.
We urgently invite our community to support us through donations. Your contributions are not just financial support; they are a lifeline for TAHO. Over the years, we have proudly helped our rescue partners save over $1,000,000 in medical costs and provided over $950,000 in free and charitable medical and surgical care to owned pets in need. These funds have been vital to our mission, and if we had those resources available now, our situation would look markedly different.

We stand firmly behind our mission and all that we have accomplished together. However, to continue serving our community and the animals in need, we need your help now more than ever.
