We’ve had an extremely hot weekend in Indiana, and it looks like the rest of the week is going to be the same! 🥵 Make sure to follow these tips to keep your bunnies cool and reduce the risk of heat stroke! 🐇☀️

•Make sure your bunnies are in shade and not direct sun ☁️

•Freeze water bottles, 2 liter bottles, or milk cartons and put them in their cage. This will bring the temperature down in their cage as well 🧊

•Freeze ice packs. I’ve found that these stay frozen a lot longer than water bottles do ❄️

•Turn on fans 🌬️

•Freeze water balloons, then peel off the balloon before giving them to your bunny. This can also act as a fun summer toy! 🎈

•Mist your bunnies or wipe their ears with water 💦

•Put cool tiles in their cages to lay on 🪨

•Freeze ice cubes with cut up fruit & vegetables in them 🍎🍌🥕

•Put ice in their water bowls 🧊

• Mix electrolytes in their water bottles/bowls ⚡️

•Always ALWAYS make sure they have fresh water!💧
