This suspiciously innocent kitty managed to swallow the whole thing... Don't ask us how 🤷

By the time we saw him, our only option was to surgically remove the whole thing.. A reminder to put tempting strings and hair ties away when playtime is over.

These photos offer a look inside TPLO surgery, from the draped surgical area to the focused work around the knee. TPLO treats a torn CCL, often called a dog’s ACL, by changing how the knee bears weight.

A precise cut allows the top of the tibia to be rotated, then a plate and screws hold it in position while the bone heals. That change helps restore stability and reduce pain so dogs can work their way back to walks, playtime, and their usual routines. 💙

An injured eye brought a nervous pup named Dario to COVE. 💙 Our team examined his right eye and found hyphema, which means blood had collected in the front chamber of the eye.

His eye pressure and corneal stain tests were normal, with no evidence of acute glaucoma or a corneal ulcer. The findings pointed to trauma as the likely cause of the bleeding.

Dario was stable to head home with a good prognosis, a treatment plan, and follow-up care. Wishing this little guy a smooth recovery! 🐾

This kitty came to COVE with a severe urinary blockage, one of the most urgent emergencies we see in cats.

When a cat can't urinate, toxins begin building up in the bloodstream, the bladder continues to stretch, and the condition can quickly become life-threatening if left untreated. Time is critical.

Our team worked quickly to relieve the blockage, stabilize him, and get him started on the road to recovery.

🚨 If your cat is making frequent trips to the litter box, straining to urinate, crying while trying to go, or producing little to no urine, don't wait to see if it gets better. These signs should be treated as an emergency.

We're so glad he got the care he needed, and we wish him a smooth recovery! 🐾

Changes in litter box habits are worth paying attention to. If your cat is straining, making repeated trips, or producing little to no urine, contact a veterinarian right away.
