Lace up your running shoes - the Lincoln Mile is almost here! 🏃‍♀️

There’s still time to register for the Lincoln Mile this Saturday, August 15 and have the opportunity to race through one of Delaware’s historic neighborhoods. With an energetic crowd, a downhill stretch to the finish, and heats for a variety of runners, it’s sure to be a fun evening!

August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month!

Occasional itching is common in our pets, but frequent scratching, licking, chewing, or head shaking can be a sign that something more is going on.

Allergies, fleas, ear infections, and skin conditions are just a few things that can cause discomfort.

If you’ve noticed your pet seems a little itchier than usual, give us a call. We’re here to help, get them feeling more comfortable, and answer any questions you may have!

There are some moments in life that remind us just how beautiful love, hope, and family truly are. Earlier this week, a dream that had been years in the making finally became a reality as Dr. Joey and her family officially finalized the adoption of their son, Samuel.

At Delaware Northwest Veterinary Clinic, we're fortunate to know Dr. Joey not only as a compassionate veterinarian and leader, but also as someone who pours her heart into caring for others. Seeing her family grow in such a beautiful way is something we're honored to celebrate.

Whether you're spending the day with family, friends, or relaxing at home with your four-legged companions, we hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday.

If your celebration includes fireworks, remember that many pets find the loud noises stressful. Keeping them indoors, creating a quiet, comfortable space, and even playing soft classical music can help mask outside sounds and create a calmer environment. It's also a great time to check that your pet's ID tags and microchip information are up to date for a little extra peace of mind.
