🔍 Behind the Scenes at FVR 🔍

Who says rehab can’t be fun? 🐾🎉 Obstacle courses are one of the ways we turn therapy into a game while helping our patients build important skills!

As our patients navigate platforms, inflatables, ramps, and other obstacles, they’re working on:
💪 Strength and muscle control
⚖️ Balance and coordination
🧠 Proprioception and body awareness
🐾 Weight shifting and limb use
⚙️ Controlled movement and mobility

Obstacle courses can also provide valuable mental stimulation to help keep patients engaged. 🧠✨ For patients who experience exercise aversion or simply get bored with repetitive activities, an obstacle course can make movement more exciting and give them a fun challenge to solve.

They can also be customized to each patient’s abilities and goals. We can make them easier for a patient who is just getting started or more challenging for those ready to level up! 📈

And perhaps the best part? Our patients often have so much fun navigating the course that they don’t even realize how hard they’re working! 😍🐶

😛👅 Tongue Out Tuesday! 👅😛

Meet Toby, the handsome 10-year-old German Shepherd who knows that hard work deserves a tasty reward! 🐶💙

Toby is currently in rehab for multijoint osteoarthritis and muscle atrophy. He's also had bilateral TPLO surgery in the past. These days, he’s working hard during his therapy sessions to build strength, support mobility, and keep moving comfortably. 💪🐾

His favorite part of rehab? Land exercise therapy—especially when beef treats are involved! 🥩😋 Give Toby a few tasty bites, and he’s ready to show off his skills!

We’re so proud of this sweet boy and love watching him put in the work, one treat at a time. 💙🐾

Drop a 😛 in the comments to cheer Toby on!

✨🐾 Patient Spotlight! 🐾✨

It’s time to celebrate Teddy James, the sweet 1-year-old Miniature Poodle who officially graduated from rehab this month! 🎓🧡🐶

Teddy James has been working with us since July following bilateral FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery. He’s put in so much hard work throughout his rehabilitation journey, building strength, improving mobility, and gaining confidence along the way! 💪🦴✨

Now that he’s graduated, Teddy James will continue his rehab exercises at home to keep those muscles strong and his progress moving forward. He’ll come back to FVR for rechecks as needed to make sure he continues to do well. 🏡🐾

Congratulations, Teddy James! 🎉 We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to hear about all the adventures you get into next! 🧡🐕✨

😛👅 Tongue Out Tuesday! 👅😛

Meet Cooper, the hardworking 6-year-old Schnoodle who is always ready to flash a smile! 🐶🖤

Cooper is currently in rehab for acute lumbosacral and iliopsoas strains, and he’s working hard during his therapy sessions to get back to feeling his best. 💪🐾

His favorite part of rehab? Having everyone tell him how handsome he is! 😍✨ And honestly, Cooper may have a point—we’re pretty sure he hears it at least a few times every visit!

Drop a 😛 in the comments to show Cooper some love!
