Today weโ€™re celebrating Chris, an amazing member of our therapy team who also lends a helping hand to our veterinary assistants ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

๐ŸŽ‰ And a big congratulations on his 1-year work-a-versary (June 3rd!) ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿ’• Feel Good Friday ๐Ÿ’•

We're back with another boop-ilation of some of our favorite snoots! ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿพ๐Ÿงก

From the enthusiastic โ€œYES please!โ€ boopers to the slightly suspicious side-eyes ๐Ÿ‘€ our patients always keep things fun and full of personality. No matter their level of participation, every single snoot brought a smile to our faces! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ

Because sometimes the best therapy is a gentle boop, a wagging tail, and a moment of pure joy ๐Ÿฅฐ

Who do you think was the most willing participant? ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ” Behind the Scenes at FVR ๐Ÿ”

Exams are the foundation of everything we doโ€”and one of the most important parts of your petโ€™s rehab journey. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

At FVR, each exam is much more than a quick check-in. We take a detailed look at your petโ€™s mobility, strength, joint function, pain levels, and overall comfort. These evaluations help us understand exactly how your pet is moving todayโ€”and how that compares to where they started.

Why does this matter? Because regular exams allow us to:
๐Ÿ“Š Track progress over time and celebrate improvements
๐Ÿ” Catch subtle changes or new areas of concern early
โš–๏ธ Adjust treatment plans to keep therapy effective and safe
๐Ÿ’ช Ensure weโ€™re building strength without causing discomfort

No two patients are the same, and their rehab plans shouldnโ€™t be either. Exams give us the insight we need to provide truly personalized care every step of the way.

They may not be the flashiest part of rehabโ€”but theyโ€™re one of the most powerful tools we have to help our patients feel better, move better, and live better. ๐Ÿพโœจ

โœจ๐Ÿพ Patient Spotlight! ๐Ÿพโœจ

This Saturday, weโ€™re celebrating a big transformation! ๐Ÿพ
Meet Malachi, the adorable Chinese Crested, working through land-based exercises with his favorite therapist, Dr. John. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’™

Malachi started his journey with a bit of exercise aversion, but with patience, consistency, and lots of positive one-on-one time, heโ€™s built confidence and strength along the way. ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒŸ

Now? Safe to say heโ€™s an expertโ€”and even better, he looks forward to his sessions and the fun he gets to have with Dr. John! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿพ

We love seeing progress like this. Way to go, Malachi! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿšจ๐ŸŽ‰ BIRTHDAY ALERT! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿšจ

All the love for Chloe, the adorable Golden Retriever, who recently turned 13 years young! ๐Ÿถ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŒป

Chloe is the definition of strength and grace. Sheโ€™s currently working hard in rehab for chronic neurologic and orthopedic issues, along with some โ€œold ladyโ€ things like sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss) and heart valve diseaseโ€”and she handles it all with the gentlest spirit and sweetest smile ๐Ÿพโœจ

We are so proud of this amazing girl and the determination she shows every single day. Chloe reminds us that age is just a number, and every step forward is worth celebrating ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’›

Help us wish Chloe a beautiful (and well-deserved!) 13th birthday filled with love, comfort, and all her favorite things ๐Ÿฆด๐ŸŽˆ

๐Ÿ’ช Therapy Thursday ๐Ÿ’ช

Animal chiropractic care focuses on treating misalignments and restrictions in a pet's musculoskeletal system that can cause pain, mobility issues, and other health problems. Gentle, targeted adjustments help reduce tension, improve motion, and support overall wellnessโ€”and it works beautifully alongside other rehab treatments. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿค

Dr. John and the adorable frenchie, Tater Tot, are here to give us a sneak peak at what a typical chiropractic adjustemnet looks like in our clinic. ๐Ÿ‘€

Chiropractic adjustments can be performed safely on all species and a variety of sizes of animals. Our goal is always to help pets move more comfortably and confidentlyโ€ฆand sometimes, that starts with a simple, precise adjustment. ๐Ÿพ

Tell us in the commentsโ€”have you ever had a chiropractic adjustement before? ๐Ÿ’†

๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ‘… Tongue Out Tuesday! ๐Ÿ‘…๐Ÿ˜›

Meet Quinn, the fun-loving, 7-year-old mixed breed who brings nonstop excitement and energy to every rehab session! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’™ His enthusiasm is contagiousโ€”and of course, heโ€™s always ready with a tongue-out grin.

Quinn is on a maintenance plan to support his hip osteoarthritis and gait abnormalities following ventral slot surgery, and he tackles each visit with eagerness and non-stop, full-body wiggles. ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒ€

We love seeing him stay active, strong, and full of lifeโ€”heโ€™s a perfect example of how ongoing rehab can keep our patients feeling their best. ๐Ÿ’ช

Drop a ๐Ÿ˜› in the comments to cheer Quinn on!

๐Ÿ—ฝ๐Ÿพ Happy Memorial Day! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ—ฝ

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

At FVR, we are grateful for their courage and service, and we hold space for reflection, remembrance, and appreciation.

As we spend time with family, friends, and our beloved pets, weโ€™re reminded of the freedoms we enjoy because of those who served. ๐Ÿถโœจ

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. ๐ŸŽ†

๐Ÿ”ง Surgery Saturday ๐Ÿ”ง

Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO) is a surgical procedure used to relieve chronic pain from a damaged or diseased hip joint. One condition commonly treated with this surgical approach is Canine Hip Dysplasia. ๐Ÿฆด

The ball-shaped end of the thigh bone, known as the femoral head, is removed. This eliminates the bone-on-bone friction that causes pain and discomfort, creating a false joint within the surrounding muscles. ๐Ÿง‘โ€โš•๏ธโœจ

FHO is particularly suitable for smaller dog breeds or cases where other surgical options may not be viable. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ•

Rehabilitation for this surgery involves a combination of building comfort post-op followed by strengthening the muscles surrounding the false joint. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜‡
