And then came **Issue No. 2.** ❤️🐴

When I put together the first issue of *The Arabian Voice*, I didn’t know where this little idea would lead.

By the second issue, something was becoming very clear—there are so many stories within the Arabian horse community that deserve to be told.

The Arabian Voice — Issue No. 2 grew to 28 pages and brought together more of what I hoped this magazine could become: history, pedigrees, breeders, individual horses, personal experiences, and the people working to preserve and carry the Arabian horse forward.

This issue includes **“Before the Stallion, There Was the Mare,”** looking back at the importance of the mare through Arabian horse history, along with **“Following the Mare,”** pedigree features, and a wonderful Q&A with **Lucas Moore of Imagine Moore Arabians**.

One of my favorite things about creating *The Arabian Voice* has been discovering just how many stories are still out there.

Not every important Arabian wore a national championship garland.

Not every person who helped this breed has a famous name.

And not every story has already been written.

Those are some of the stories I want *The Arabian Voice* to preserve.

Something new grew out of Blue Gem Farms this year. ❤️🐴

I created *The Arabian Voice* because I wanted a place where the stories behind the Arabian horse could be told—the breeders, the horses, the bloodlines, the history, and the people whose lives have been shaped by this remarkable breed.

This first issue was the beginning.

Inside are stories about Arabian horses and the people behind them, including our Newcomers feature, *The Mare That Changed Everything*, *Arabian Memories*, and more.

What started as an idea has become something I hope will preserve stories that might otherwise be lost and give people throughout the Arabian community a place to share their knowledge, memories, and love for the breed.

So from **Blue Gem Farms LLC**, I’m very happy to introduce…

Today was a bittersweet day at Blue Gem Farms. I said goodbye to two very special souls — Sharif’s Whirlwind, and Blue Gem Valen Tina. Watching them leave together was hard, and my heart especially aches for Amaris, who lost both her mother and her daughter on the same day.

Because of my cancer battle, I’ve had to make some difficult choices. Letting them go was not easy, but love sometimes means putting their future ahead of our own. They will always be part of my Blue Gem family. 💙”
