In our house, we have 2 dogs, 2 cats & 2 guinea pigs & a 6 yr old. Our dogs are 14 & 30lbs. They are used to other dogs, but because of their age, they don't always want to play with younger dogs, & are happy sleeping on their beds in the back of the house. We put our dogs behind a gate when we are gone. The cats are used to dogs but can go upstairs if they need to get away and hide. Our 6 yr old

loves all animals. If your dog allows it, she would also love to spoil it by letting it sleep in her bed with her each night.
