It's September. Kids are back to school. Leaves are starting to turn. Sheep are grazing on the last of the summer grass. Who is ready for some soft, cozy, warm wool??

We will again be a host stop for The Wool Arts Tour over Columbus Day Weekendin October. The event is free!

We do hope that you visit and shop. Our fiber artists, shepherds, and wool producers will be set up in our spacious indoor riding area. Come support your local farmers!!!

Last camp week of summer 2026. What did we do? Fishing, swimming, needlefelting, a little tutorial on crochet, and horses! We dusted off the English saddles for 3 of our campers. To Bria, Liba, and Gretchen, Brooke, and Michal.......thanks for the fun. Elisha, thank you for stacking that wagon of hay with Steve. Also, nice work with Victor in the round pen.

Victor didnt show today, but it was a great overall experience. He. hopped right into the trailer and unloaded without issue. It was the 1st time in a year that he has been in a trailer. Big wide eyes surveying the show ground. Pretty worried when Sophie left for her classes. Saddled him up and rode him around. Not quite his typical mellow self, but he didnt do anything bad. Got to start somewhere.....

Horsemanship and Farm Camp again this week. So what did we do? First thing we fed and waterered the horses and let the boy sheep into their pastures. We visited the girl sheep. Trip to the Deering Reservoir most days to fish or cool off. We saw baby birds in a bird house. Visited the beaver pond to see pond lilies. Frogs and salamander were probably hiding to stay cool. We put up some temporary fence for sheep. Went out for ice cream today. Rode our sweet horses every day. Even ba****ck today to help the horses stay cool. Couple of vicious UNO games were played. And every one had a chance to learn how to weave on a peg loom. We recycled baling twine into rugs. I think every one had fun.

Another week of camp in the books. Lots of horse time including care, grooming, feeding and riding. Lessons. Cleaning tack. Stacking hay. Swimming at lunch time. Trip to the Eastern States Exposition in W. Springfield, MA to witness the biggest quarter horse show in the North East. Watching Julia and Sophie compete. We start again in 2 weeks.
