This picture says so much more than words could ever say... My daughter,Anjelica has a diagnose of profound autism ,along with that she is considered non verbal...The so called experts sat me down and told me all the things she would never do,all the things she would never experience...They basically made her sound like an object not my smiley ,beautiful, happy Anjelica...Our horses don't read paperwork or care about a diagnosis, every one of our horses loved Anjelica unconditionally for herself and she loved them ..I watched her from a very young age be affectionate with them ( even tho I was told she wouldn't show affection..) She also spoke to our horses ,in a very small quiet voice and very simple words just here and there but because of our horses I had hope that she would one day speak loud enough for others to hear her and then people wouldn't look at me like I was crazy when I said she can talk...( One Dr told me I was in denial and should go to therapy).. This picture shows just how magical horses are.. Anjelica wasn't feeling great and she was really amped up but within a few minutes of grooming time with "Buddy" she was calm and so happy..Horses make a difference in lives of the young and the old ..Horses make a difference no matter what your background or life story is... MY FIRST RIDE ON MELODY!! Taking it just at the walk as we get to know and understand each other this way! Melody is so happy and healthy now, just beautiful!
