Rush Creek Sanctuary is preparing for upcoming work associated with the TLPA (Texas Livestock Protection Association). As always, our focus will be on providing a safe place where animals in need can begin to heal, rebuild trust, and move toward the loving future they deserve.

We are grateful for the organizations, volunteers, supporters, and community members who stand beside us in this important work. Every rescue takes a village, and together we are changing lives. 💜🐴

💜 AN UPDATE FOR OUR RUSH CREEK SANCTUARY FAMILY 💜

After 10 days in the hospital, under the skilled hands of an incredible team of surgeons and surrounded by so many prayers, our co-founder Karen Renee is home at Rush Creek Sanctuary. 🙏🐴

Now, a new journey begins.

Karen is going to experience personally what Rush Creek Sanctuary has given to so many veterans, first responders and families: a place to heal, to trust again, to find strength, and to be surrounded by unconditional love.It may take months to learn learn to walk again or gain strength to overcome challenges but we will never give up.

The horses, the animals, the peaceful land and the people who make up this sanctuary have helped others through some of their hardest days. Now they will help Karen through hers.

We are going to share this journey with you. The progress. The hard days. The victories. The fight. And most importantly, the healing. 💜

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, called, helped with our animals, brought food, stepped forward and wrapped our sanctuary family in love. We have felt every prayer and every act of kindness.

The journey home has begun. 🐴🙏💜

🐴💜 A PARTNERSHIP BUILT ON RESCUE, HEALING & HOPE 💜🐴

We are so excited to once again celebrate the incredible partnership that began this past January between TLPA and Rush Creek Sanctuary.

TLPA does extraordinary work investigating cases involving abused, neglected, and suffering animals and helping give these animals the chance they desperately deserve.

Through our partnership, animals in need can come to Rush Creek Sanctuary, where our mission is simple but powerful: rehabilitate them, love them, heal them, and ultimately help them find safe, loving forever homes. 🐴❤️

And sometimes, something even more beautiful happens.

Some of these rescued animals discover a new purpose right here at the sanctuary, becoming part of our programs supporting veterans and their families. Animals who once needed someone to fight for them can become a source of trust, peace, connection, and healing for people who are working through their own journeys.
