OUR STORY – OUR MISSION

Shorty’s Rescue started in Los Angeles in 2001 and our headquarters are in San Diego, California and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Our goal is to bring awareness of our bully breeds and fight for their rights, fight against dog fighting and fight against breed specific laws (BSL) throughout the United States and Mexico. Shorty’s Rescue has several other programs including Geisha’s House and Hercules Mobile Clinic. We provide free monthly dog obedience training classes to low-income individuals and families. Rescue, rehabilitate, train, and re-home bully breeds through our Geisha’s House Foster Program. We offer free spay and neuter clinics to low-income individuals and families with Hercules' Mobile Clinic Motorhome. Participate in Keynote Speaking Engagements. Enlighten Bully Breed Breeders regarding their contribution to the homeless Bully Breed Population. Pet Owner Support Program to keep our Bully Breeds where they belong by providing food, veterinary care, and training to qualifying individuals. Education Resource for responsible Breed Guardianship, Breed Awareness, Animal Rights, and fighting against BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) laws. Creating a strong voice against stereotyping and stigma—we do not seek your pity and don’t appreciate your prejudice. We are here to help one discrimination case at a time through education, enlightenment and to fight, if necessary, for the underdogs of the world.

We still need help with Zeus, a 4-year-old English Bulldog. He recently came into our family after his owner passed away and his family could no longer care for him.

He has several health issues and needs a lot of medical attention:
• Cherry eye (pr*****ed third-eyelid gland)
• Allergies and skin problems
• Hypothyroidism
• Airway issues (BOAS)

This week he’s going to the vet for a full checkup, bloodwork, X-rays, and other tests so we can figure out the next steps for his treatment.

We need help with his medical bills and cherry-eye surgery. You can donate by hitting the donate button on this post, or use:

Just to show you how much rain we got last night, I included several clips and photos from Tijuana all the way down to Ensenada. We’re actually 50 miles south of Tijuana, and as you can see in one of the videos, they evacuated the hospital.
We were very lucky last night on the ranch. We didn’t get that much damage, and because we live higher on the mountain, we didn’t get any flooding. But it’s not over yet—we’re getting another storm coming in tonight.

Apparently, this is the reason why we don’t have no electricity in our community in La Mision. Sound on 🔊 😂

Weather update, we made it through the night, a lot of rain 🌧️ and wind but not as destructive as we thought. No electricity and cell service and our back up battery system went out. So we have two generators running for the refrigerator, Starlink and TV. We have more rain but not he good thing everyone is safe 🥰

Currently stuck in line at the border on our way to San Diego for a couple of hours.

This weekend should be interesting here at the ranch in Mexico. They say a tropical storm is coming starting Saturday night ending Monday or Tuesday. Tomorrow I have a naval retirement party to attend in San Diego for a friend they high tail it back to Mexico. They say we might get 50-60 mph winds and rain from 1-2 inches. Time to get those generators working and shut things down.
