🐾 Big laughs today from the unexpected results of the Embark DNA and health test we did with our boy Tonka, who we always assumed was a hunting dog mix with some pitbull. Turns out… we were only partly right! 🤯

Tonka is officially a four-breed superstar:
🟡 Beagle – 29.5%
🔵 Catahoula Leopard Dog – 29.1%
🔴 Australian Cattle Dog – 24.2%
🟣 American Pit Bull Terrier – 17.2%

It turns out he even has two siblings identified through the test — a sister named Navi, and a brother named Chester, who lives over in Daytona Beach! Believe it or not there was even extended family as well!

And while Tonka’s in great shape, the Embark health panel revealed he has a slightly higher risk for allergies (especially food and environmental), and a genetic trait affecting his liver enzyme readings, all helpful info for the vet and great for staying ahead of any future issues.

All in all, a fun, informative experience and now we’ve got an even better understanding of what makes Tonka tick.

🎭🐶 DeLand Dog Parade Fun! 🐶🎭

We had an awesome time at the DeLand Dog Parade today! Luke the Goldendoodle and I took part in the festivities, and we even captured a 360° video to share the experience. From the amazing costumes to all the well-trained pups, it was a great day to celebrate dogs and the community!🐕‍🦺🎥

Listen to your dogs, they don’t care about helping you create content…. It takes paying attention to them to see/hear they are communicating and they are, ALL THE TIME. It is the human setting up the dog for failure almost 100% of the time and guess who pays for it; the dog.
