Had the pleasure of taking Luke and his family out for the Dallas County Pheasants Forever Chapter hunt that he won. Donated by Doc's Hunt Club and guided by yours truly. To add a little something special, Michelle Marie Photography also donated an “in-hunt”photo session. It was pretty warm and those 6 yo legs were pretty tired at the end of the day. It’s always fun to be in the field my dogs (and Luke’s lab Boone). One more hunt this weekend will put a cap on this preserve season and send us full swing into training season. You just never know what you might see at Doc's Hunt Club. Had a good time with this group today. These were the “last push” birds. The others had been cleaned and bagged by the time we made it to the office.

Had a good hunt with the girls this afternoon. Started off a little rough but they found their groove and finished strong.

Always take advantage of those last couple of hours no matter how long the work weeks have been. Took off a little early today with the intention of giving the girls a chance to run and blow off some steam. Ended up meeting up with Broken Tine Sporting Dogs- Wirehaired Pointing Griffons for a quick 2 mile walk and ended up with one on the ground and tired dogs.

Haven’t done a very good job of taking pictures the last couple weeks but the girls and I have been busy guiding and plowing snow. Big cold snap on the way so we might be able to get and chase some wild birds just for us.

The girls out doing what they love. Had a great group today at Docs. If Broken Tine Sporting Dogs- Wirehaired Pointing Griffons asks, Hallie is terrible and they probably don’t want her back.…ever.

Hallie has intensity and loves her job. I hate to admit it but she may have convinced me that I need more setters in my life.
