I'm taking a little break from my holiday vacation to be the auctioneer at Savings Snouts 2025 Holiday Auction!

Saving Snouts Holiday Auction – Final Push for the Pig Lift!

We’re launching a special online auction to help us raise the last $525 of our $4,500 goal for the medical pig lift — a vital piece of equipment that makes hoof and tusk trims safer and less stressful for our potbellies.

All proceeds from the auction go directly toward the lift. Every bid helps us cross the finish line and give our piggy pies the safe, low-stress care they deserve.

Any amount raised above what we need for the pig lift will go towards winter supplies, like straw, that keep our piggy pies warm and toasty during Winter in Wisconsin.

We miss Charlie soooooooooooooooooooooo much 💔

Tonight my husband, Eric, and I were taking a trip down memory lane. This is a photo of Charlie shortly after we rescued him. Eric and I always laughed when we took Charlie's picture. Charlie would be posing perfectly, we would aim our phone to take the perfect picture, just as we attempted the capture the moment, Charlie would walk towards us to investigate what was taking place. We miss Charlie, we were blessed to have him as a part of our family🥰

When we rescued Charlie, Cheyenne and Charlie instantly became best friends. Charlie followed Cheyenne wherever she went and did everything Cheyenne did. This photo is them having their first picnic outside together. Charlie was fascinated when we brought their food bowls outside and set them in the area of the yard where they didn't do their duties. When Cheyenne really wanted to teach Charlie something new she would look at him, give him his "teaching" grunt and proceed to show him something new. Because pigs are extremely intelligent, Charlie learned his new lessons instantly. Watching Cheyenne and Charlie interact together was both heartwarming and entertaining 🥰

When we brought Charlie home he was 3 months old, he only weighed 5 pounds. He was too small to to sleep in bed with us. He loved sleeping in his crib. This is how he stood in his crib in the morning when he was ready to get up and start his day 🥰

Thank you for all of the kind messages about Charlie passing away. Many of you asked me to keep this page active as a memorial to Charlie. I have decided to keep this page active. I will post memories of stories, photos and videos of Charlie and some will include his adventures with Cheyenne. When we rescued Charlie, we had our potbelly pig, Cheyenne, living in our house as a pet. What a wonderful pair Charlie and Cheyenne made. Charlie lived with a rabbit at his previous home. When Charlie came to live with us, he hopped like a rabbit. After 2 days of living with us, Cheyenne taught him how to walk like a pig instead of hopping like a rabbit. There were strict instructions that took place in our living room. My husband was home when this took place. We laughed together, Charlie paid close attention to his instruction. After class concluded, Charlie no longer hopped like a rabbit, he proudly walked like a perfect pig 🥰

This is Penny, Charlie's mom. It is with extreme sadness to tell you that Charlie passed away peacefully today at 2:14 p.m. We would like to thank Dr. Tom Young with High Cliff Veterinary Services, Hilbert, WI, for the compassionate and wonderful care he gave our wonderful Charlie.

I will be closing this page on January 1, 2025. This will give everyone time to connect with other members, to send friend requests, etc.

Thank you so very much for the wonderful support you gave Charlie for the past five years. He was our baby, he took over our hearts the moment we met him.
