We said goodbye to most of our Lucy litter today! 💗🐾

Thankfully, we can say we’re sure each of these pups is already very well loved and will get the best care.
Thank you all!
And welcome to the Wildfire family. ❤️

I thought you all might enjoy a behind the scenes look at picking a puppy as a breeder!

Choosing a new mamma to carry on the next generation of Goldens is a very important decision. She could impact generations of dogs, and such a decision deserves a lot of thought and planning!

Here at Wildfire we prioritize temperament first and foremost, but then comes “conformation”, or, in common terms: how well a dog is built.

Below are a few pictures I took trying to capture this puppy’s “build” to share with my show Golden group. The example picture gives you an idea of what we look for. Conformation is important to a long, healthy life in a dog! You don’t want straight joints when you need a triangle to absorb shock!

Thankfully, I had a really hard time picking. 😂 They were all so nice!
But we settled on Lime Green.

Any name ideas? Her mamma is “Narnian Queen Lucy” and her dad is “Just Lex Rex”. A spin off those would be fun! We like the royalty and gemstone themes. 🙂

The last photo shoot for these sweethearts is up on our website. They’ll be going to new homes this weekend! 🐾
They are doing great on the porch, easily going in and out of the crate and enjoying all the toys.
Even though they like toys, it is funny how much more food driven these pups are than the field lines. 😂

Almost all of the Pearl pups headed home this weekend! 🏠

It is such a joy to meet the families for whom you’ve been raising a puppy for the last two months. ❤️

Thanks for giving our puppies such a welcome!
May you all enjoy many years with your pups. 💗🐾

Lucy is doing so much better! 🎉❤️
She’s even rolling in the grass and wrestling her pups now.
Do you like her t-shirt? I’m going to have to buy my husband another pack soon. 😄
God is good!
