Tonight I learned a new way to stimulate labor. I had a female in active labor that stalled. I was very worried because she had been in full labor for 4 hours. I didn’t have Oral Cal on hand and needed something quick to restart her labor. I just so happened to have a litter of puppies that are 5 weeks old. So I took my runt and let him nurse on my expecting mother. Literally within 5-10 minutes of him nursing, my expectant mother had her first puppy without any issues. All is well with mother and puppies. Never hurts to use an old remedy my mother taught me!
