Join us this Sunday, June 14th, for Sensory Sunday. On this day we open the museum two hours early and offer a less stimulating experience.

During these special hours, we adjust lighting and sound and have trained volunteers and additional staff available. Sensory Sundays are sponsored by Brighter Tomorrow Foundations, Dayton Children's Hospital and the Ohio Pain Clinic.

Don't forget to ask about our sensory bags, available at the front desk for free! Also, our new universal changing station is open which features an attached sensory room, offering a calming space for those who need it.

☀️ Summer is here… and you know what that means? Summer STEM Camps are officially underway! 🔬🐾🔭

Do you have a little scientist, a junior animal expert, or a young astronomer at home? We have a camp for them! From hands-on experiments to animal encounters and space exploration, our camps are packed with fun, learning, and discovery all summer long.

✨ Camps are available for ages 5–14

Get ready for dazzling lasers, epic music, and an out-of-this-world adventure in the planetarium at the Caryl D. Philips Space Theater! 🌌🎶⚡

Catch our matinee shows:
-Wednesday–Friday at 2:00 PM
-Saturdays at 11:00 AM & 2:00 PM

What a year it’s been for our Education Department! 📚🔬

✨This school year, more than 15,600 field trip visitors explored the zoo, splashed at the water table, and discovered the magic of science through hands-on experiments with us. From curious questions to unforgettable discoveries, every visit made this year so special.

As we close out an incredible school year, we’re excited to jump right into summer camp season! Camps officially kicked off this week and will continue through the end of July with even more learning, creativity, and fun ahead.☀️

💙Thank you to all the students, teachers, and families who made this year so special. We can’t wait to keep the adventure going all summer long!
