Ok horse nerds. I have a couple open spots for tonight’s groom club. Is it about grooming? Sort of. Is it about the kind of connection we don’t get to make any more because of the internet? Yeah- more that. Come pet the horses, hang out, meet some people, feel like you belong somewhere quiet and peaceful (but still really fun.) be prepared- someone snorted w**e out their nose last time. My stomach hurt from laughing. The horses didn’t think we were funny. Let’s face it- you can eat that Factor meal in front of the new season of the Diplomat tomorrow night. I’ll even give you half off a future lesson (ground work, driving or riding) or a free future groom club meeting if you bring an item to add to my festive Halloween decoration tableau. The horses are waiting- no stress, no pressure, fun stories!

💀 Your horse demonstrating ALL the gaits at once- head upside down, and you have the expression of something that crawled out of a swamp, equitation courtesy of Gollum.

😱 Or perhaps everything is perfect (because of course!) but you’ve been photobombed by a monster. Your trainer, perhaps? Mouth open. Eyes bulging. Wanting to momentarily tear you limb from limb for not picking up that wrong lead sooner?

Day off? Why? Instead we packed more hay into the shed- (we pre-bought EVERYTHING until June) - got the shed full of 90 yards of bedding (inspired by that driver and the enormous truck) and then decided to work on the re-do of my arena footing- and pressure wash the walls of my arena. It was the work that would not end- but it’s joyful work. I’m in pursuit of the one day where everything is as I want it- but also know that is a Sisyphean effort. No problems falling asleep last night!

Friday, Oct. 23rd- Join us for our 2nd session of GROOM CLUB. We had ten fantastic ladies last time and there were some great stories along with horse time. You don’t have to come to every meeting- but you gotta come to one. No pressure, no stress, just quality horse time and some interesting people. At least I got some photos! So proud of our kids and customers- and our horses. It’s been a wild ride this season- the care all our people have taken of each other- and this friendship between our kids has really been a joy to watch. All I can say is I am grateful.
