Some before-and-afters of sweet Stetson! š¤ From all that puppy fluff to this full-body haircutāhe cleans up pretty well!
So many people missed out on this little guy. Stetson is truly one of the sweetest, easiest puppies Iāve had in a long time. To say he is easygoing is an understatement. Heās also incredibly smartāhe already knows how to sit and shake, and he doesnāt fuss one bit about grooming. He simply takes everything in stride.
Stetson has found his family, but they are currently away on a trip, so heās staying with us a little longer until they can take him home. They are so excited to meet him, and when they asked if I minded keeping him longer, my answer was an easy, āAbsolutely not.ā He is an absolute gem, and we are more than happy to enjoy the extra time with him.
I follow many breeders who charge additional boarding fees when puppies need to stay beyond their normal go-home date, and I completely understand that every breeder runs their program differently. For me personally, I feel that we brought these puppies into the world, and I donāt mind keeping them a little longer and I donāt charge to do so when needed to make sure they get to the right family. As a breeder, I believe you have to be prepared for the possibility that some puppies may remain with you beyond 8ā10 weeks. Finding the right home is more important to me than rushing the process.
And one of my favorite little details? His family has decided to keep his name. š¤ Stetson is already pretty fond of it, so that makes his story just a little bit sweeter.
We sure are going to miss this special boy when he leaves, but I couldnāt be happier for him and his new family.
