🐾💙 Happy Vet Tech Appreciation Week! 🩺🐶🐱

We're giving a HUGE shoutout to our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) who go above and beyond every single day for the animals in our community!

From beloved family pets and community cats to shelter animals waiting for their second chance, our RVTs work alongside our veterinarians to provide compassionate, lifesaving care to animals from all walks of life.

Whether they're assisting with surgeries, comforting nervous patients, monitoring recoveries, or doing a hundred other things behind the scenes, their dedication makes a difference. Our RVTs are an essential part of everything we do, and we couldn't do it without them! 🥹💕

Please join us in showing some love to these amazing veterinary professionals who dedicate their days to helping animals feel better, heal, and thrive! 👏🐾

FIV can be just one part of a cat’s story, not the whole picture. Cats with FIV can still live long, happy, love-filled lives, and they deserve homes just as much as any other cat. A diagnosis doesn’t define them, it simply means they may need a little extra care and a lot of love.

Take a moment to learn more about FIV and how we test for and care for these cats at the Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital.

Visit the Humane Society of Greater Dayton or the MeowZa Cat Boutique to meet our cats in person, or head to hsdayton.org/adopt/cats to see all of our adoptable cats across all locations.

A diagnosis of Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) doesn't define a cat, it simply becomes part of their journey. These incredible cats still love to play, cuddle, and form lasting bonds with the people who give them a chance.

At the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, every cat receives the care they deserve, including FeLV testing and ongoing support through the Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital. With a little extra understanding, FeLV-positive cats can enjoy happy, fulfilling lives in loving homes.

Stop by our shelter or the MeowZa! Cat Boutique (HSGD) to meet our adoptable cats, or browse available cats online at hsdayton.org/adopt/cats. Your perfect companion may be waiting for you.
