MCFL Trenton

MCFL Trenton is a young, proven intact male who absolutely loves the ladies. He has three strong, healthy cria on the ground and his first is already in the show ring! Our son is training Trenton's second cria for 4H this year and he is doing amazing. His babies are easy to handle and love people. Our girls are older and are retiring from breeding so Trenton would love to continue his duties elsewhere. Could he be the classic outcross your farm needs? PM me with any questions!

While we were focused on a spring beauty treatment for our alpaca, our llama, Georgia, surprised us by bringing new life into the world. Her cria (baby llama), Bandito, is a big boy with a birth weight of 28.2 lbs (12.8 KG)! 🦙

Wildlife Wednesday! 🦌
While we see deer and coyotes here regularly, this is the first time we've seen them together.

Anyone know of sisters like this? These two girls were the tiniest lambs born but with HUGE personalities. And they certainly butt heads 😆

Wildlife Wednesday! 🐢
We moved this Eastern Box Turtle in the direction he was already traveling, just past the end of concrete retaining wall (pictured on left) to ensure the wall gave him no more trouble. This also placed him farther from the traffic on Frederick Pike and safely into the cemetery side of the driveway. He can now enjoy acres of plant overgrowth and bugs. 🌿

(The Eastern Box Turtle is a legally protected "species of concern" in Ohio due to habitat loss, being run over, and being taken from the wild.)

Who remembers little Tater Tot who got a busted lip shortly after birth? Well, he would like everyone to know that he has healed up just fine! He has a slight "pouty" lower lip which only adds to his charm. This handsome fellow is our official lap sheep and will be staying on as our ram buddy when we get our new ram for next breeding season!

Happy Easter! Little blind Homer and family have been coming out for supervised play sessions the last few days. He seems to be able to track her fairly well with the bell. Strawberry is an extremely attentive first time mom! She seems to know he needs a little extra care and is always watching to see where he is. Here, you can see her trying to play with him ❤️

Hey everyone, meet Homer!

Any guesses as so why his name is Homer?

This lamb is named after the Greek poet, Homer! Homer was rumored to be blind although we can't say that for sure.

Well our little Homer was born last Thursday and he didn't seem quite right to me. The more I watched him I came to realize that he couldn't see. He is either completely blind or mostly blind. But this little guy is a fighter! He finds his mom and has been nursing well!

His future is unknown as we haven't experienced this before. This little family will spend some extra time in a pen to give Homer time to gain strength. Time will tell how he does!
