After three wonderful years in business, I have made the heartfelt decision to close Franklin+Co. I started this shop during a time when I was struggling mentally after heartache, and I wanted to create something that would help me heal, grow stronger, and push myself personally and professionally. At the same time, I was teaching entrepreneurship and used my experience to inspire my students.

As an artist, educator, mental health professional, and lifelong dog lover, Franklin+Co. became a space where I could blend my passion for pups, creativity, and entrepreneurship into something meaningful. What started as teaching myself how to sew turned into a journey that I’ll cherish forever.

I wanted Franklin+Co. to be about celebrating the special bond between dogs and their humans. The emotional connection and support we share with our pups is unlike anything else. The mission behind every bandana was simple: bring joy, confidence, and a little extra style to the everyday moments we share with our four-legged friends, all while supporting causes close to my heart, including mental health awareness and veteran support. A portion of every sale supporterd K9s For Warriors.

What I’ll treasure most are the connections — meeting dog parents at craft shows, hearing their stories, and seeing pups (and cats) of every size and shape wearing Franklin+Co. bandanas in places far beyond anything I ever imagined. I loved collaborating on custom designs that blended an owner’s passions with their pup’s personality, and it was always exciting to see which patterns customers and store owners chose to fit their styles, their pups, and their needs. I’ll never forget the joy and silliness of the Cleveland Halloween dog parade — my favorite event by far — and every sewing marathon that made those moments possible. Those experiences reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

And as I close this chapter, I feel nothing but deep gratitude for the support that surrounded me from every angle — from family, friends, customers, colleagues, mentors, and of course my goofy boy Franklin, who has been my anchor and a constant source of happiness through it all.

The next stage of my life is full of love, home ownership, travel, and, I’m sure, more creative projects.
