🐴 Who’s looking after the farm when you’re away? 🐾

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that no two farms are alike! From the horses with their specific feeding routines to the goats who always seem to find trouble, every animal has its own personality and daily necessities.

That’s one of my favorite things about Happy Hooves Helpers! Getting to know your animals, learning the little details of your daily routines, and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible while you’re away🏡

Whether you’re planning a vacation, heading out of town for the weekend, or simply need an extra set of hands, we’re here to help!

We’re always excited to welcome new farms and furry faces to the HHH family! 🐴🐄🐣🐐🐾

📍 Proudly serving Dawson, Forsyth, Ball Ground, Alpharetta and surrounding North Georgia communities.

That’s a wrap on our 2026 mounted shooting season🤠🐴💥

Boon and I spent the weekend in Alabama for one last competition of the year, and what a way to end the season with my boy!

Between some pretty great raw times, way too many missed balloons, and getting a little lost on course, we had a whole lot of fun! 🤣 More importantly, I got to push myself, let Boon open up a little more, and continue learning alongside a horse who gives me his all every time we enter the arena.

One of my favorite things about being a horsewoman is that there’s always something new to learn, no matter how many years you’ve spent in the saddle. Mounted shooting has challenged me in so many ways, and I’m incredibly thankful for the horses and the people who make it all possible.

So grateful for another season with my Boon doggle and this wonderful community. Here’s to continuing to learn, grow, and become better horsemen/women along the way! 🤎

Some of the best lessons horses teach us happen outside of the saddle 🪴

It’s the little things. Learning what’s normal for each horse, picking up on changes in their behavior, understanding their body language, and knowing when to push a little further OR when to take a step back. One thing I’ve learned is that horses will tell you a whole lot if you take the time to pay attention.

Whether I’m working with a young horse, teaching lessons, or simply taking care of horses while their owners are away, I try to carry that same mindset into everything I do.

Being a good horseman/woman isn’t just about what you can accomplish in the saddle. There’s so much more to these animals than just riding them, and I think that’s something we can all continue learning from 🤎

If these old walls could talk…

Dating back to the early 1900s, this old farmhouse has been part of Echota Farm’s history long before any of us came along for the ride.

What started as a combination of storage/tack/hay space has now been transformed into a beautiful organized tack room for our boarders, lesson students, and Laura and I’s own personal tack/equipment.

This past weekend, we spent an entire day giving this old place some much-needed TLC! From cleaning and organizing to uncovering years of dirt, dust, and a few things we’d rather not speak of again😂

Of course, we were so busy getting our hands dirty that nobody thought to take a before-and-after picture🤯 But trust me, this old place got quite the makeover!

It’s not always the glamorous side of farm life, but there’s something pretty special about caring for a place with so much history and being part of its next chapter💪🏻💫🤍

A little dirt, a lot of hard work, and a whole lot of love for this 1836 Farm🏡🐴

This year’s Eastern Championship in Tennessee, and my second major looked a little different for Boon and I! 🤠💥

After breaking my trigger finger in June and spending most of the summer recovering, I wasn’t even sure competing would be an option. Three weeks after, I still can’t fully make a fist, so getting back in the arena with my boy was really all my heart was set on.

It certainly wasn’t without its challenges, but I couldn’t have been happier to be back in the saddle with my boy.

I’ve spent most of my life riding, competing, and working with horses, but mounted shooting has brought an entirely new challenge into my life. It’s pushed me to grow as a rider, learn a completely different skill, and continue developing my horsemanship in ways I never expected.

One thing I’ve always loved about horses is that no matter how many years of experience you have, there’s always something new to learn. Having a horse like Boon to learn alongside and teach me makes it that much more special.

So thankful for this horse, this sport, and the opportunity to keep learning and doing what I love. Here’s to many more runs with my Boon doggle!

🐴 FARM SITTING | HAPPY HOOVES HELPERS 🐐

Whether your farm has horses, goats, cattle, chickens, dogs, cats, or a little bit of everything, I tailor each farm-sitting stay to your animals, your routine, and your property.

I offer both daily farm check-ins and overnight/24-hour care, depending on what works best for your farm!

Care can include:
• Feeding, hay & fresh water
• Turnout & bringing animals in
• Stall/barn cleaning
• Medications & supplements
• Blanketing, fly masks & boots
• Basic horse care & wellness checks
• Dogs, cats, poultry & other farm animals
• Arena dragging & basic farm upkeep
• Keeping an eye on the property while you’re away
• Photos and updates so you know everyone is happy and cared for

Some farms need two feedings and a quick check. Others have detailed routines, multiple species, medications, turnout schedules, and animals who each have their own quirks.

That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all farm sitting. I learn your routine so your animals can stay comfortable at home while you’re away.

From the barn to the backyard, I’ve got your crew covered!🐴🐐🐓🐶🐱

Yesterday was one of those days that makes you stop and appreciate just how special this place really is ☀️

So much love, hard work, time, and heart has been poured into Echota Farm , and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have made it what it is. From Laura & Bill, who are truly the heart behind this place, to students like Breanna who have been here with me since the beginning, it really does take a village!

Somehow we’re already getting ready to celebrate two years of Echota, and looking back at how much has grown, changed, and been built along the way is pretty special.

Grateful for this team, these horses, this place, and all the little moments in between 🤍🐴🌾

Somewhere along the way, this became my normal 👩‍🌾🌾

Driving from farm to farm across North GA. Learning everyone’s feeding routines. Knowing which horse needs their grain soaked, who gets medication, which gate has to be latched just right, and who will absolutely convince you they haven’t been fed yet🤨

Then there are lesson days; watching a nervous rider get a little braver, seeing something finally click for a student, working through the hard days, and celebrating the little wins that probably don’t look so little to us.

Throw in the training rides, groundwork, young/green horses, dirty boots, hay in places hay should never be, and more time spent in a barn than just about anywhere else!

It’s not always glamorous. There are long days, early mornings, late nights, and plenty that happens behind the scenes. But this little horse business is giving me a pretty special life🐴♥️
& I wouldn’t trade these days for much!
