Los Gatos Foster Animals is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a foster home based, cat rescue.

Los Gatos Foster Animals is a 501(c)3, volunteer, no-kill foster organization that is funded 100% by donations. We have no paid staff or board members; we rely solely upon our volunteers, giving their time, love, and homes to house the animals we care for until they find their forever homes. The furbabies do not leave our care until they are healthy, socialized, and spayed or neutered.

POST-SURGERY UPDATE: SAMUEL IS HEALING! 🐾

We have wonderful news to share: sweet Samuel’s surgery went smoothly and was a complete success!
He is currently resting comfortably in foster care and recovering like a total champ. His medical team is thrilled with how he looks—he has minimal bruising and a clean, healthy incision site.

We are so grateful to every single person who pitched in to help us raise $500 toward his care so far! Your support made this critical, pain-relieving procedure possible for him.

Because his specialized surgery and care were a major expense ($1,800–$2,000 total), we are still in significant need of donations to cover the remaining balance of his bill. Every dollar raised directly offsets his veterinary costs and allows us to keep saying "yes" to rescue animals in critical need.

💙 HOW YOU CAN HELP SAMUEL CROSS THE FINISH LINE:

💸 Donate: Any amount—big or small—makes a huge difference for his recovery fund!

✨ Zeffy (100% of your donation goes to LGFA with zero processing fees): https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-save-lives-157

📲 Share: Please like, comment, and share this post!

Boosting his update helps reach people who can help us close the remaining financial gap.

Thank you all for being a part of Samuel’s healing journey! We are so grateful to see him thrive on three legs. ❤️

‼️ 𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻! ‼️

LGFA exists solely because of the amazing support of our community. Every single dollar and penny sent to us goes directly into the care of our fosters—and right now, we need your help. 🐾💔

We are facing an incredible financial strain and are currently at a complete standstill. 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻… which means that right now, and for the foreseeable future, LGFA is forced to close to all new intakes.

To give you an idea of what it takes to keep saving lives, in the first half of September alone, we have already spent:

• $497 for spay/neuter surgeries
• $1,423 for essential vaccines
• $656 for flea, tick, and deworming treatments
• $690 for microchips

𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀:

🚨 We have an outstanding balance of $𝟒,𝟐𝟎𝟎 for critical medical care at our primary veterinarian that urgently needs to be paid.

🚨 This week, we need to raise $𝟭,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼 $𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 to get Samuel the FHO surgery he desperately needs so he can live without pain.

We are so incredibly thankful for the $400 in donations we’ve received so far for Samuel. Every bit counts, but to get out of the red and keep our doors open to cats in need, we still have a very long way to go.

If you are able to donate—no matter how small the amount—𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

🩺 $5 FRIDAY FUNDRAISER 🩺

We have an important update on sweet Samuel!

Because his procedure involves a specialized FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) alongside a leg amputation, we have officially scheduled his surgery for Tuesday, September 22nd, based on the availability of our veterinary surgical team.

First, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far! We are super grateful for the overwhelming love and support our community has shown Samuel.

Because this specialized surgery remains a major medical expense ($1,800–$2,000), we are launching a $5 Friday today to help bridge the remaining gap before his procedure next week! If everyone following along chips in just $5, we can cover the cost of his life-changing surgery and post-op care.

💙 HOW YOU CAN HELP SAMUEL:

💸 Donate $5 (or any amount): Every dollar goes directly toward his surgical care!

Thank you so much for continuing to show up for Samuel when he needs us most! Let’s get him ready for a smooth surgery and a pain-free future. ❤️

🚨 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘: Samuel needs our help! 🚨

When Samuel’s foster family noticed him limping on his rear leg this weekend, we got him scheduled right away with our vet. He didn't leave any evidence of what he could have done, but x-rays revealed a 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

Unfortunately, it isn't a standard leg break. In a typical case, the vet can leave the hip bone in place to provide stability and padding over the joint. In Samuel’s case, he also snapped his femur right off the hip joint.

To heal, he requires a specialized surgery called an 𝐅𝐇𝐎 (𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐎𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐲) to safely remove the damaged hip bone, alongside a standard leg amputation. Because of the extra complexity, his 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐬 $𝟏,𝟖𝟎𝟎–$𝟐,𝟎𝟎𝟎.

We urgently need our community’s support to fund Samuel’s procedure and get him back on his feet.
