The last week has been incredibly challenging as we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Luca on Thursday April 9th. Luca, 13 years old, was a friend to everyone! Best friend, shop dog, lifeguard, biscuit eater, papa, grandpa, great grandpa, teacher, and equal opportunity giver of love. (Heck it didn’t matter if you were UPS, USPS, Fed-Ex, Amazon ... he was all about YOU!) Luca taught us how to be more patient, how to always greet people with a smile and how the simple things in life mean the most. Never forgotten, a guide forever, he’ll always be with us. RIP LUCA 🐾 💩 ❤️
(For those interested, Luca passed away from an aggressively growing and large cancer mass. He had a clean bill of health less than 4mo’s ago so this progressed rapidly... take care of your pups and be safe everyone)

I turned 12 this week 🎂 🐾 🍖 ... that is all I wanted to say. Oh wait, and I adopted a little sister, her name is Lilly 🐾💩

Last time I was here I couldn’t walk and things didn’t look so good. 1 surgery and eight weeks later the Doc said I’m like a puppy again. Many thanks to everyone for the healing mojo and checking on me.

Phew ... What. A. Week.
That first picture is of me on a cart because I could not stand up or control my bladder (Oops) My humans were real worried about
me and Dr’s were not sure at first what was wrong ... A mass? Tumor? Brain? Maybe herniated disk? ... Well it took a few days, alot of examining, plus xrays and
MRI’s BUT the final verdict was a herniated disk. Dr’s said that was the one they could fix 🐾😬🐾
So, fast forward ... The second picture is me in the backseat of the car w/ mama today coming home from UCDavis Vet Hospital. I’m on zoomie lockdown for awhile (not happy) but glad to be home. I want say a big THANK YOU to
- Pet Care Santa Rosa for their love and care
- UCDavis Vet Hospital and the amazing people who cared for me like I was their own dog (they did say I was their favorite patient and they wanted to adopt me😬🐾)
- AND to everyone out there that was thinking of me!!
I have some work to do but I was released early and I’m off pain meds too! Time to heal and get 💪

Thankful I get to relax in mom’s office at work today and stay out of the rain. I may be retired from my job as a breeder, but my new job is pretty cool too. I get to greet everyone coming to the fitness center and make seniors smile. What are you thankful for?

Though I am newly retired I have many Grand Pups to be proud of!! Lots and lots of grand puppies coming into the world lately ... congratulations to Pam & Nicole who just had these munchkins 🐾🐾.

Whats up everyone? I'm announcing here that I have officially signed my retirement papers! Though I'm not happy about it, I know I had a good run! I'm looking forward to seeing all my pups and grand pups (even great grand pups) do wonderful things in the world! 🐾🐾
