We still have one Australian Shepherd puppy looking for his forever family 💙
We want to be fully transparent about his journey so far. He didn’t get much attention early on most inquiries were for his siblings as they were more on the super energetic side and this guy can be energetic of course as he is a puppy but he can be super laid back as well and would just be happy chilling with you on the couch getting attention. He is now 4 months old. Once he became the only puppy available, We started getting a lot of interest, but unfortunately many people stopped responding when it came time to schedule a visit. We’ve also held him multiple times (3–7 days) for families who seemed committed where a day and time were set for them to come out and meet this guy, only for plans to fall through last minute for various reasons. Most recently, he was supposed to leave tomorrow (4/9/26), but that family just backed out as well after holding him again for 7 days this home seemed very promising as we had multiple phone calls with one being yesterday it was quite long the family was talking about getting the bag of food hes currently eating, asking about his favorite toys so they can pick them up, size of harness he should be wearing currently just wanting to get everything prepared for when they got him and was just so excited. So we were shocked to get a message this morning of them backing out too with all the communication we had over the last week. We have never experienced so many people 'ghosting' or backing out on a single puppy before!
This is absolutely no reflection on him he is an amazing puppy.
While waiting for the right home, he’s been learning and growing so much:
✔️ Potty trained - he signals really well and hasn't had any accidents in quite a while
✔️ Does pretty well on or off leash - He still needs some work on leash not bad will just pull occasionally so hes getting there
✔️ Knows sit, stay, and come
✔️ Patient and well-mannered he will sit either behind your or on either side of you and wait while you prepare his food and refill water bowl and won’t touch it until it’s set down. If water bowl is empty and hes thirsty he will go sit in front of the sink to let you know water bowl is empty and he would like more water.
✔️ Laid-back personality, loves being close and soaking up attention
✔️ Still playful and energetic outside like any happy puppy
✔️ He is not fixed as fixing puppies before they are mature can influence how they grow as the hormones are vital for growth doing it too soon can harm their skeletal system causing joint pain and other issues
✔️ His parents have been genetically health tested and are clear of everything 250+ test were completed each for mom and dad. He wont have any health issues passed down to him genetically.
He does not have an official name we have kept to calling him Dude, Buddy, little guy switching up what we call him so he doesnt get used to a single 'name' 100% so his forever family can still name him whatever they would like.
He comes from AKC Grand Champion Bloodlines. Very smart and super egar to please guy. We have an 8 year old and a 5 year old so he has been around kids.
He truly deserves a committed, loving family who is ready to follow through. We’re looking for someone serious and ready not just thinking about it, but ready to give him a forever home. We want to find him the best home and that's why we have put him on hold so many times for familes who we thought were 'very serious' about him
