a non-profit organization that is trying to help cut down on the population of cats on the island with humane ways of TNVR.

The Dauphin Island Cat Association is working to humanely help control the population and help the cats in our community. The Dauphin Island Cat Association was created in 2013 and consists of all volunteers. The primary purpose of the 501(c) 3 organization is to control the population of feral and stray cats within the community of Dauphin Island, Alabama.We accomplish one goal primarily thru a m

ethod called TNR-Trap, Neuter, Return practices and by educating and informing the residents and visitors of our Island community. The focus of our group is to also protect and improve the life of feral/stray cats and to prevent animal cruelty. We also provide emergency service help to the feral cat population by means of vetting, foster and adoption. The actions of the association shall be held and maintained in the spirit of the stated goals. We are here to service the community and to provide spay/neuter solutions for free roaming feral cats. Meet Harley! He is currently six weeks old and loves cuddles. We are currently working to get him up to date on his vaccines and boosters, so keep an eye out for this cutie! Who wants to give these adorable little pumpkins a loving home?

Meet Cheeto and Frito. 😻Both male, neutered with rabies shots and about 2 1/2 months old. They can be adopted together or separately. They are feral but have been hiding in a garage so they are probably more scared than anything.

They will need a home with someone who is willing to work with them and understands they might need extra patience.

Meet Lizzy(left,female) and Izzy(right,male) the next kittens ready for their fur-ever home! 😻

They are approximately 8 weeks old and fully vetted. They are not currently fixed, but we will arrange that when the time comes! They are both so playful and love to be held with cuddles!

We have successfully trapped 4 cats today that are ready to be taken for spay/ neuter. This makes 48 since the beginning of the year. We have trapped over 65 but fortunately, the others were already “snipped”. ✂️

But we are in desperate need of a transport volunteer this Tuesday morning to take in two of the kitties arriving between 7 and 8am.

The SNIPS clinic is right off I-10 in Ocean Springs, MS and we will help with gas costs.

If you can help, let us know and we will provide you with the information.

We are always in need of volunteers and if you would like to sign up, we would love to have you. Whether it’s fundraising, fostering, setting traps, monitoring the traps, or transporting the kitties to SNIPS, we would be grateful for any time you can share with us.

SNIPS Drop-off: Tuesday or Wednesday between 7-8am.
Pickup: Wednesday or Thursday between 8-9am.
