Wondering if anyone out there has much small engine repair experience? I am broke and trying to have an emergency vehicle put on the road. So I have decided to get the "Beast-er-egg" Vespa/Yahama hybrid back on the road. It was put into storage in 2020 and has not been run since. I have recently put a brand new battery and had to drill out the fuel cap to replace and changing out the ignition for a new key switch. However it will not start and the headlights are not working. The body is a Vespa but at heart it is a 50cc fuel injected Yamaha Zuma drivetrain. I also have the parts that I will eventually weld on a utility sidecar so I can haul lumber and other items from lowes. Also have something to pick up vehicle parts in when I have breakdowns because it is difficult to work on a vehicle when you have no way to get parts. I am just curious if there is someone local to me that would like to help me out and help me diagnose what is going on so I can re register it for the road. It was originally built and used as a trail bike for the Francis Marion National Forest trails. So there is a good bit of mud packed up in it that I am still trying to clean out. But if you can help get it running, You will be more than welcomed to take it for a spin. We have several acres of freshly cleared land that you are welcomed to rip through.

My Daughter is selling her VW to help fund housing. She will not be restoring the car because of the decline of her eyesight. She will never be able to drive and having it here has been heartbreaking for her. Either asking price or will be willing to trade for a full size bus (non running is ok, does not need an engine but needs to be able to roll to eventually get it into location) to be used as a stationary schoolie tiny house. More details are on the listing. I have had a lot of customers ask about the car over the past few years so I figure I would post it here to see if any of you who asked were still interested. This is a PROJECT!

We do have our eyes set on an old 70s Ford here in Darlington county. But we will consider other models. Just no short frame buses.

UPDATE POST:
My wife and I are finally home. Hopefully for good for a while. We still are not taking on orders at the moment until we are fully recovered and have the last 3 orders complete and gone. My wife re fractured her left hip and I recently broke my right foot. Plus we have to finish repairing our vehicle. Due to all of the constant driving from Lexington Hospital, Prisma in Columbia and MUSC in Charleston and Mt. Pleasant and McLeod in Florence. It had put a huge strain on our Jeep and caused us to blow our engine due to a broken timing belt and broken #4 piston skirt. It has been a huge headache working on with what little times I have had to do so. Once I am caught up and back able to drive, we will be taking on limited orders and only regular sized ones of my existing designs. No huge coops or one offs for a long while.

Hi this is Tracey, Andi’s wife, I do apologize for the lack of posting on our page. We both have been in and out the hospital. Andi with seizures, severe back pains and heart issues. I have been in the hospital with heart attacks (4), seizures, severe cataplexy attacks, and severe gastrointestinal issues as a result from my gastric bypass. Andi ended up going to the hospital for a MRI of their brain and back and ended up having nasty seizures in the machine and ended up having brain damage from the last seizure. I ended up falling and damaged my right hip to tbe point of almost breaking it, tore a ligament in my right calf and almost broke my right knee cap. All this on top of our already chronic health issues . I’m so sorry that all this has happened and we haven’t forgotten any of y’all and plan to get back on all our coop orders that we have been working on to get caught up. I do apologize that it has been taking so long on our part. With everything going on it has been so hard on us to get back to the stride of doing things like we used to be able to do them. We also have not been taking on new orders and will not until take on new orders until we have recovered and feel confident enough that we can complete them in a reasonable timeframe. We just need to allow our bodies to recover from all the current issues we have been having.

In regards to my last post. The last straw was when a customer started harassing my wife by phone calling her a "Lying B***h", while just trying to explain what was going on with her coop. Which this was during the middle phase of my wife's speech recovery causing her to relapse and set her back by at least another week. I have a LOT of regular customers that know us and understand our string of b ad luck and health issues and how serious they are and are welcome to speak up if you feel comfortable to.

Dear customers. I am going to have to close doors for a little while and will not be taking on any new orders. I have around 180 emails currently and I have to respond to and show this message to them. But it will take me a few days to get through them all. ALL current orders will be completed. To explain what all is going on, my wife several months back and briefly coded in the ambulance. It is an experience that has really devastated me. This was brought on by a lot of stress due to a fake DSS claim that had us listed for child abuse and starvation. They showed up and realized immediately it was bogus and closed it out but it stressed us out so much. Shortly after her heart attack, her other disorders got worse to the point she could not even talk for weeks. Her recovery is doing great and just was able to start helping out again. However a few weeks ago, I had my own mishap. Due to insurance taking me off of certain medications for my constant migraines and put me on something different which caused me to have a mild heart attack. Both my wife and I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and in the past 15 years of doing this, our health has seriously declined. With everything going on, it has also put a lot of stress on our daughter causing her to not do so well in school and we are in the process of helping her build her grades back up. About a month or so ago, we broke our work and only vehicle. I have been trying to work on it to get it back on the road. Every time I fix something. something else breaks. Now I am in the process of changing out the timing chain because it has stretched so much that it jumped a tooth. So I have been using my dad's truck to pick up materials and do deliveries. About a week ago, He hit a deer and took out the entire front end. So we are trying to get some new parts bolted back on to make it road legal at the very least so I can do lowes runs again and make a much past due delivery. Once We are done with all of these current orders. My wife and I will be taking a much needed break to recover and spend some much needed family time together either getting her trike on the road, spend time with my daughter helping her with her knife making business she is trying to start or help her with her vw, getting it together. And I can catch up on my reading that I have been neglecting. Hopefully I will be able to reopen around February. And hopefully healed and well rested.

Since my wife's heart attack, I have been having to do most all of this on my own. Her health is improving greatly but mine has gone down hill considerably in the past few months due to my spinal issues and chronic pain issues. I am also having to rely on the good will on friends and family to do material runs and deliveries due to our vehicle breaking down. It, just like everything else, has been one issue after another. I had to completely rebuild the exhaust system from scratch due to rot and a bad stopped up cat, while doing do, I found that our frame was nearly rusted in half. So I had to spend an entire day doing a frame patch. So what I am going to do is not take any more orders until I get mostly caught up with what I have right now. I am just getting so overwhelmed and I would like to lighten my load some before resuming taking orders.

The ONLY way I will accept any new orders at the moment is if you are one of my regulars that understand completely our health issues. Which are those that have ordered 4+ of our coops so far or are one of our fellow Zebras.

HELP!!! ASAP
Anyone in the Graniteville area (Aiken county)?

We got this VW transaxle as shown in the first picture to put into our model T (second picture to make it VW powered). This is something my daughter wants to build during school breaks. I need it picked up this weekend if at all possible, but I keep running into setbacks with our health, I am way behind on orders and having a hard time getting away from them long enough to get it and our jeep is not dependably drivable currently and I have been spending late nights working on it. (should be done in the next day or two, our cat was stopped up, then found out the brackets were rusted through, then dealing with broken head studs that took forever to get out and the entire exhaust just started crumbling. So I have been rebuilding it from scratch, header with new hardware all the way back to new cat, stainless muffler and back to tail pipe tip, not a fun job doing it completely by hand). Then to top it off, we found out that the frame had a major crack that I had to weld a plate over it so our frame literally does not break in half.

All I am asking is if there is anyone in the area that would be willing to pick it up for us and just hold it until we can make it that way. NOT expecting delivery or anything. Just grab and get it out of his way and we bring it home the first chance we get. Would not have a problem working out a way to compensate. Just message and we can discuss.

Having to take a day or two recovery day. I have been pushing it hard on behind orders and trying to repair our vehicle. To pick up materials and do deliveries. I ended up severely flaring up my Tethered Cord issue in my lower back (it is a comorbidity of having Ehlers Danlos Syndrome). It is causing me to miss a much needed cardiologist appointment today because I have not finished the jeep nor can I ride for that long in a vehicle. I need about two days for the swelling to go down. If I dont get any relief by Sunday, I will go to the ER and get another dilaudid shot and will be good to push back through orders. Just how things are while living with a lifelong painful disorder. I try and put orders ahead as much as I can but my body will only do but so much and then it completely gives out on me.

Recently finished and picked up. This is one of my basic 4x8 quakers with vent doors. This one went out unpainted by request.

Starting to get caught up on my behind orders after my wife's heart attack. Feels good. So, if you still have an order waiting to be finished, I promise I am working on it and will be done with it shortly.
