We want to inform you about a serious outbreak that has recently been confirmed. The first detection of New World Screwworm (NWS) has occurred in Zavala County, Texas, affecting a 3-week-old calf in the umbilical area. It's crucial to note that this pest poses a risk not only to livestock but also to dogs and cats.

To help protect your pets from the potential threat of a screwworm infection, we recommend using Credelio for dogs and NexGard Combo for cats. These flea and tick preventatives can aid in preventing screwworm infections and keep your furry friends safe.

For livestock owners, staying informed about the signs of NWS and implementing preventative measures is essential. Being proactive with all your pets and livestock can help minimize the risk. Our staff is on standby and will update as this develops.

Summer is here and in full swing! As days at the on the water increase, it's important to be aware of a common condition known as "swimmer’s tail" in our furry friends.

Swimmer's tail is a condition characterized by pain and inflammation at the base of the tail, often caused by excessive swimming or vigorous exercise. Symptoms can include a droopy tail and discomfort when touched. Though it may sound alarming, the good news is that it’s usually temporary and treatable!

Here’s what you can do to help your pup:
