They are altered, microchipped, vaccinated, & combo tested negative.

It blows our minds seeing organizations purchasing doodles when all local shelters are overcrowded. 🤯

In 2026, you can visit almost every shelter in Alabama and find a doodle. Why do people continue to feed in to the needless breeding of mutts??!

At this very moment, we as a rescue have multiple doodles in care all under the age of 6 months and we are just one small group.

Sure they are adorable as puppies but adorable DOES NOT equate to a well balanced dog.

These are the moments it just truly sinks in that WE, the general public, does not care about the animal crisis. WE do not care that animals are spending their entire lives from birth in shelters. WE do not care that by purchasing from unethical breeders we are continuing the cycle.

Truthfully it just makes me sick 🤢

👋 Hi Again, I’m Lola!

Lola has been a complete gem in her foster home. She is eager to please, loves her people & other dogs.

She is 1 year old & around 70lbs. Lola is an American Bulldog/Mastiff mix.

Lola has been fostered with other dogs and is good with kids. She is a little obsessive with cats so we do recommend a cat free home.

👋 Hi Again!

Remember almost 4 weeks ago when Rufus couldn’t straighten his front legs?

We’ve dealt with lots of rickets cases; Rufus is the first one we’ve had use wraps to help provide extra support. Since day one he hasn’t let his bent legs stop him & now that they are straight he can really play with his pup friends.

He is officially scheduled to be neutered on the 21st.

Rufus has been fostered with other dogs, cats, & kids.

We don’t know who needs to hear this but a backyard breeder (BYB) is someone who is not breeding to breed standards.

It DOES NOT literally mean they are kept outside in a backyard. BYBs can post wonderfully cute photos of their dogs while also being an unethical breeder.

We see these same breeders stating they are not unethical breeders on a post with dogs that DO NOT fit within color standards. 🤦‍♀️

👏 Can an unethical breeder raise their litters inside in a nice clean family environment? Yes, that does not make them ethical breeders.

👏 Purchasing a dog from an unethical breeder means the quick google search you completed on a breed’s temperament, size, health is irrelevant.

🐾 Gouda…the imperfectly bred Frenchie. We are sure her puppies were purchased by those who didn’t care to understand why with ethical breeding a double merle shouldn’t exist let alone be having puppies.

We spent the day yesterday resetting our house, foster room, & removing our hurricane shutters.

We are very thankful to only be without power for 45 minutes. Thank you to all those who spent the day serving their communities. We appreciate you!❤️❤️❤️

Our house feels a bit empty now. 😆

Well it was all fun & games until the power went out. Still roughly 3 hours until landfall.

Gonna have to break out the board games.

Pepper sure looks snug & unbothered.

She is finally starting to feel better after battling an URI.

✨Pepper has received multiple apps BUT we have been waiting for her symptoms to improve before processing or adopting.
