In preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, we wanted to share some important scheduling updates!
🦃 Bayside Animal Hospital will be closed on Thursday, November 27 to allow our team to celebrate with their families.
📅 On Wednesday, November 26 and Friday, November 28, we will be open for grooming appointments, boarding drop-offs/pick-ups, and medication refills only.
Please note — no exams, vaccinations, or injections will be performed on those days.
We encourage you to plan ahead for any medication or appointment needs before the holiday rush.

As many of you know, I had the great honor of purchasing Bayside Animal Hospital from Dr. Corte almost 5 years ago. What made that transition so meaningful was that he stayed on with us, continuing to do what he loved most—caring for animals and showing up every day with quiet strength and compassion for this community.

Dr. Corte was more than a colleague. He was a teacher, a steady presence, and a true friend. His gentle wisdom, unwavering kindness, and deep love for his work left a mark on every one of us—staff, clients, and pets alike.

His absence will be felt in every hallway, exam room, and every single heart that knew him. We are better for having worked beside him, and we will carry his spirit forward in everything we do.

🇺🇸 Independence Day Notice + Pet Safety Tips 🇺🇸

📅 Closed July 4, 2025
In honor of Independence Day, we’ll be taking a break and reopening with regular business hours on Monday.

From our veterinary family to yours, a few holiday reminders:

1️⃣ Fireworks = stress for pets.
Create a calm, quiet space at home and secure your furry friends indoors. If they get anxious, we’re just a phone call away! Please make sure to call us before July 4th should your pet require anxiety medications!

2️⃣ July 4th has the highest lost‑pet rate.
Ensure collars have ID tags and consider microchipping — it’s the easiest way to bring pets back home if they bolt.
