Oh hey, we created a page on Nextdoor! We're still figuring out that platform, but if you use it, feel free to give our page some love. We'll be using that page to focus more on local news, classes/courses we're hosting, etc., and less on sharing our day-to-day adventures. It's a great way to keep up with events if you don't want to see as many personal posts.

Hi folks!
We are running a 6 week course perfect for new owners, rambunctious puppies, and dogs that are "stubborn" and refuse to listen. If you're looking to tame your pups behavior in time for the holidays, this is the course for you.

You and your dog will learn:
-The core obedience commands, like "sit", "heel", "lie down", and "off"
-Safety skills, like "stay", "come", "leave it", "drop it"
-Party tricks that are entertaining and the foundation for more intricate skills down the line like "touch", "sit pretty", "find it", "spin"
-Better communication skills using doggy body language cues
-How to build trust and increase your bond without relying on food
-How to easily do regular full body wellness checks, nail trims, etc. with no hassle
All breeds/mixes are welcome!

Spots are limited- this is NOT a drop-in class, so please call (978) 219-9152 to reserve your spot! This course runs Wednesdays at 5:30pm, October 14th through November 18th. $170/dog-handler team

Hi all!
We've been slacking on the updates as we navigated through the busy summer show season and helping to raise a litter of puppies. We finally feel like we're catching our breath, as the pups start to go home (😭) and the fall weather sets in.
Speaking of fall, the temps have been dropping, the leaves are turning, and the weather is perfect for hiking! It's important to remember we're still in full swing for tick season, though, so keep doing daily checks of you and your pets. It's been so bad this year, we've found ticks in all kinds of unusual places (including the refrigerator, on one memorable occasion. 😬)

HANDLING CLASS CANCELED FRIDAY

Hi folks, this heat wave hasn’t let up, and the humidity has the training room floor quite slippery. We’re canceling the two handling classes on Friday. Stay cool, and good luck at the shows this weekend!

Mondays are often a sleepy time for us as we recoup from shows. We didn't have shows this past weekend, but Sue's dogs didn't get the memo 😂

Some of our newer community members may not know, as Katherine doesn't get to as many shows these days, but she started showing dogs at three and a half years old! Here she is at about five years old, practicing with Sue's sammy, Tia, at dog class.

We're enjoying this snow (especially our sammys) but it'll be nice to get back to good hiking weather. Freya loves the trails near us! She especially loves the photoshoots- walking, sniffing, and running is all great, but any time she sees a rock or large log, she stops. Great big puppy eyes turn our way as she waits for permission to leap up and pose 😂 She likes to be tall.
