Alright everyone, we have a date and place for our first northern free event! We are taking a group hike at Ox Bow Park on Saturday September 12th! We will likely be there for an hour/hour and a half, and will be starting the event at either 2:00pm or 5:30pm! We will be announcing the set in stone time in a day or two, so let us know which works better for you!

Be sure to bring water for you and your pup, treats, your dogs leash and collar/harness that you typically walk with, and poo bags! We are also watching the weather and will reschedule if need be.

Remember this event is just for fun, so no superstar obedience is required! Many of the dogs who may be attending could be working on overexcitment, anxiety, or ignoring other dogs!! So the only rule at this event is that dogs may NOT greet eachother. The focus will be allowing our dogs to sniff, explore, and be neutral in the presence of other dogs.

We are so excited to see everyone there!!

Meet Tilly!!

Tilly is a sweet girl who comes to us already knowing her basic obedience!! Her biggest obstacles in everyday life are her big emotions. She is a very anxious girl who also happens to get excited very easily; these two things often make for a dog that has trouble relaxing and struggles with engagement. We will be spending lots of time with Tilly working on relaxation skills and building confidence! In working on the root of these issues (anxiety, overexcitment) we will be able to truely help Tilly and with that, her obedience will swiftly follow!

Heartly and Bash had a groom today on our brand new grooming table!! We always love picking out new equipment and this was no exception! Does your pup need a bath? A nail trim or file? Or even a haircut? Dont hesitate to reach out! Our Michiana location offers full private grooming! Everything is done in the comfort of our home and is one on one with your pup. We also take extra steps to ensure the experience stays positive and involves the least amount of stress possible, even for the most anxious pups!

So our first announcement for our North location is for a free event! We want to know what works for you: weekends, weekdays, evenings, afternoons? Let us know in the comments or shoot us a message! This will help us pick a time and date that works best for the majority of those who would like to attend. Our events are free to any of our current or past clients! Right now we are thinking it will be a group hike or pack walk at the park, and are thinking it will be sometime in September. As of this moment, its looking like weekends are better for most but things can always change! We cant wait to hear from you all, and even more so can't wait to see you there!

P.s Don't worry friends in Indy, we have some fun plans brewing for you guys too!!

Miss Angel is working on her leash walking skills!! We are starting small, just on a short stretch of sidewalk outside her home to help her build up her skills in a low distraction environment. Leash walking isn't just about not pulling, its about engagement and confidence first! We are only on lesson two and Angel is already giving us lots of great engagement in the form of eye contact, check ins, and quite an interest in treats! Follow us as we build up to higher levels distractions and help Angel become the best she can be! Although we think she is pretty amazing already!

We know we have been quiet for a little while friends, but we wanted to give everyone a heads up that we are working on somthing big behind the scenes at our Mishiana location! Keep an eye out for two announcements, one about an upcoming Fetch and Focus event and another big surprise not too long after that!! We look forward to sharing more with everyone as we go. We had such a wonderful time Silver Beach Saint Joseph Mi ! We took a nice walk down the pier with family and made stops at Tim's Too (pet friendly patio seating) for great food, FuzzyButz Pet Bakery for the CUTEST dog cookies, and Cabanas (pet friendly patio) for some ice cream! If you have never been to Silver Beech with your dog, we highly recommend. There are so many fun places to check out and tons of pet friendly stores and patios! Heartly and Bastion certainly approve!

After some delays due to holidays and busy summer schedules, Azul finished up his last training session! Azul came to us needing to work on his leash manners, to begin working on off leash reliability, and with some dog/animal reactivity (not agression, just barking/lunging at any animal due to over-arousal/excitment). After his time in training with us, Azul is now able to:

✅ Walk on a leash nicely ️even past places like the woods which is a high distraction area
✅ Walk past dogs and horses (a big trigger for him) and is no longer reacting
️✅️ Settle in various environments such as patios and even in the car while being driven
✅ Play politely with another dog without getting overwhelmed
️✅️ Be trusted off leash in his front and back yard
✅️ "Leave it" when asked to do so when he is barking at somthing from inside the house
✅ Settle inside the home even when there are things going on outside
✅️ Really engage with his handler even when there are distractions around

We are incredibly proud of Azul and his family, who have all put in so much hard work! And it truely does show!! We are so excited to continue watching him take his training even further with the tools we have given him and his family, and we cant wait to see them all again sometime!! Congratulations Azul! 🐕😎💞

Tomorrow from 1:00pm until 6:00pm feel free to stop by for food, bounce houses, vendors, a bike show, and more!! Heartly and I will be there as well, and we will have balloon animals, treat bags, and a raffel basket at our booth!! It is located right in front of Witch Hammer Tattoo .
