Looking for a non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical treatment that not only reduces pain and inflammation but also promotes tissue healing? Our technicians perform laser therapy on pet patients every single day. Treatments are prescribed by your veterinarian and personalized for your pet's needs.

At Healthy Paws, we use laser for post-op care as well, including dental cleanings. Laser has been used daily since the hospital was opened in 2017.

A personalized program will be designed for your kiddo and may include, if interested, canine rehab, acupuncture, herbal therapy, and medical manipulation (chiropractic in human terms).

Scooter is thoroughly enjoying his session today and we think he looks quite handsome in his goggles.

Everyone meet Murphy! He came to see Dr. Sara today for being naughty and eating some chocolate! Thankfully this little cutie pie is doing very well. ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฅฐ

With Halloween candy season steadily approaching we wanted to take a moment to talk about the dreaded chocolate toxicity. Most people know that chocolate is toxic to our pets.

Did you know that some kinds of chocolate are worse than others for our pets? Lighter chocolates such as milk chocolate tend to be on the safer side (but absolutely do still cause toxicity) while darker chocolates such as baking chocolate tend to be more toxic.
What to do if your pet ingests chocolate:
- verify how much and what kind of chocolate was ingested
- call your veterinarian (or emergency veterinarian if your regular vet is closed) and they will instruct you further
- they may instruct you to call the pet poison hotline. These services have on staff veterinarians and veterinary technicians who can calculate exactly how dangerous the chocolate (or any poison) is and can work closely with your veterinarian to help them properly treat your pet.

And finally remember that accidents totally happen, and we are here to help make sure your pet is safe and happy, if you arenโ€™t sure- just call! ๐Ÿ˜Š
