4 Hope Animal Sanctuary We are still building and not quite ready, our goal is a no cage sanctuary to save dogs from a shelter. We want to provide a forever home environment.

We are an animal rescue sanctuary - we will take in dogs that might normally find themselves in the shelter if not taken in by someone. We work with other rescue shelters to help find homes for dogs.

Last weekend, we hosted a booth at the Appleumpkin Festival in Wyoming, NY, where we successfully raffled a flag generously donated by Greg Lafaye. We generated nearly $600 in proceeds, which will directly support our ongoing initiatives. Today, I presented the flag to our winner, Allissa, who is pictured here with her prize. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who stopped by to show their support; as this was our inaugural major event, we are especially appreciative of the excellent coordination provided by the event staff and our fellow vendors.

Yesterday marked a somber occasion as we experienced the loss of our beloved Bailey, who succumbed to respiratory distress. Bailey was a cherished member of our sanctuary, and we are grateful for the wonderful years he spent with us. His presence will be deeply missed by all.

Last year at this time the drainage ditch was just a mud puddle, this year these tadpoles will survive. Life just seems better when you see something real from your efforts.

So this drainage ditch on our property would hold water, but always dries up before these guys get to be adults. Last year I dug it down a little with an excavator and they should be good. The little things make a difference.
