On day 2 of their lives, the puppies had their first car ride yesterday! They had their first checkup at Aurora Veterinary Care. They are all normal and doing great! All of their hearts and lungs sound good, no cleft palates, no umbilical issues, and they are all putting on weight.

Cherokee passed away peacefully, with the assistance of Journeys Home Pet Euthanasia, on April 21st, 2026 at 12:24pm, surrounded by her home Pack.

She was born on August 14, 2014, along with her sister Copper. She is one of my Original Good Girls (OGGs) and she will be deeply missed.

She was the mother to 11, grandmother to 36, and great-grandmother to 18 so far.

May she run free over the rainbow bridge and have big howls with Beyr, Arrow, Beyrista, Addison, Wrigley, Farkas, Bastila, and Purrl.

Much gratitude to the 16 humans who were able to stop by and say goodbye to her over the past few days, and also to the dozens of others who couldn't make it but sent warm and loving messages. Your love and strength will carry us through the difficult days, weeks, and months ahead. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful community.

Silap Inua has officially been free roaming with the rest off the pack for 2½ weeks and she is loving it. Sila is who we decided to keep from Tungulria and Kaskae, she was born on 11/12/25.

The OFA x-ray test results are back for Nanuq from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.

Her hips are Good, and shoulders, elbows, and patellas are all Normal. 🤩

I left early this morning so #5 (Pink) Lara could meet her new mom! 😴

After 3 weeks of trying to get her half way across the country, an amazing organization called Pilots N Paws was able to coordinate several flight legs to get Lara to Joy.

I can't thank these amazing volunteers enough. I only got to meet 2 of them in person, but they were friendly, informative, thoughtful, caring, and seemed to offer Lara a loving experience.

Also, a special thank you to Martine and Scott for meeting me at the airport and putting my mind at ease. I had never let a puppy go with anyone who wasn't the new owner, and was quite nervous. I quickly realized that everything would be ok and they even offered a shoulder for me to cry on after Lara flew away.

She is now getting settled in to her new home!! 🥰
