Hi all!! 😊

I’m officially back in school, so I’m a little more busy than I was before, but my schedule is still open to scheduling overnight pet sitting!

I’m available for overnight stays over the holidays. Closer to the the holidays I usually get booked pretty quick..so if you are thinking of having me, I encourage reaching out sooner than later!

For the remainder of 2026, I will need all holiday bookings to be booked by October 31st so I can plan everything around my school schedule. 🐶📚

I also wanted to be transparent about something that happened during my most recent drop-in booking. A medical emergency came up unexpectedly while I was in the middle of my scheduled pet care. This has never happened to me before during a scheduled pet care, and while I was able to finish all of the pet care that was needed, I ended up being a few hours later than the originally scheduled time.

I understand that not every animal can handle a few hours of an unexpected delay, and I want to make sure I’m better prepared if something like this ever happens again. Because of this, I have arranged for a very close and trusted friend of mine to be my backup in the event that I ever have an emergency and physically cannot make it to a scheduled visit. Clients who book will be given this information ahead of time so they know exactly who may be stepping in if needed.

If you would prefer to have your own emergency contact available as a backup instead, I am also more than happy to take that information when you book.

My goal is always to make sure your pets are cared for and that you have peace of mind while you’re away. I appreciate everyone’s understanding as I make these changes to be better prepared and continue providing reliable care.

As a reminder, payment is due at the time of booking to reserve your dates.

Cancellations:
8+ days before the start date: 75% refund
4–7 days before the start date: 50% refund
Within 72 hours of the start date: no refund

Hi everyone!!

As I’ve been getting busier with pet sitting, I’m going to be putting a few things in place moving forward to make bookings a little more organized and to protect my schedule.

Starting with all new bookings, I’ll be requiring a signed contract before dates are officially booked. It’ll just go over the basics like the dates, pets, payment, cancellation policy, and expectations for the stay.

Payment will also be due in full when the booking is made in order for me to reserve those dates.

My cancellation policy will be:

8+ days before the start date: 75% refund
4–7 days before the start date: 50% refund
Within 72 hours of the start date: no refund

I know things come up and plans can change, and I’ll always try to be understanding when something unexpected happens. At the same time, when I hold dates for a booking, I’m turning away other requests for those same dates, so I need to have something in place to protect my time and income as well.

Pet Sitting Update 🤍

I wanted to share a little update as I prepare for a big move. This is definitely bittersweet after getting to know and care for so many wonderful pets and families in the area.

I’m still hoping to continue offering overnight dog sitting in the Dane County area when I can, but I’ll need plenty of advance notice so I can plan around the distance. With the move, I will no longer be available for drop-in visits in Dane County.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has trusted me with their pets over the years. Getting to care for your animals has meant so much to me, and I’ll genuinely miss the little routines, familiar faces, and all of the pups I’ve gotten attached to.

Thank you so much for supporting my small business and allowing me to be a part of your pets’ lives. I hope to continue seeing some of you for overnight stays even after my move.

🐾Pet Food Pantry!🐾

Please spread the word that if anyone needs a little assistance with feeding their pets (mainly cats and dogs), we have a FREE pet food pantry at the store.

They can pick up the food they need ONCE per month. If they cannot get here, you can pick it up for them, you’ll just put their name down when you sign it out.

You’ll let a Second Chance volunteer know that you are there to pick up some pet food and they will make sure you are all set!
