Don’t wait for the snowflakes to fall! Now’s the time to prepare winter shelters for your outdoor cats. Here are a few different ideas for keeping the felines warm and dry:

- MAKE a DIY shelter out of a Styrofoam box.

- USE a storage bin for the outer shell and line the interior walls with sheets of Styrofoam.

- BUY a cold weather-designed shelter from Feralvilla or The Kitty Tube.

🐾 October 16th | National Feral Cat Day & Global Cat Day! 🐈‍⬛❤️

They may be wild at heart, but they are loved and cared for. ❤️

Today, we're celebrating the community cats and feral colonies we work to protect! 🐈🐈‍⬛

The cats pictured here are just a few of the many community cats we help. Many have dedicated caretakers who provide food, fresh water, and a familiar place to call home. While they may prefer life outdoors, they are never forgotten! ❤️

Through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and the dedication of their caretakers, we're helping these cats live healthier, safer lives.

❄️ But winter is coming, and they need our help!

Our Operation Warm Paws campaign is raising funds to build insulated winter shelters to help protect community cats from freezing temperatures, snow, and harsh weather.

🐾💕 Meet Xena: From Devoted Mama to Forever Home Hopeful! 🐈❤️

After raising her three beautiful babies, Lime, Melon, and Papaya, it's finally Mama Xena's turn to find a family of her own! 🏡💕

Xena is a gorgeous 3-year-old brown tabby with a gentle soul and a special place in our hearts. ❤️ She and her kittens were our very first rescue as a New Hope Partner, after being surrendered to ACC of NYC through no fault of their own.

Since arriving in foster care, Xena has been a wonderful mama, giving her babies all the love and care they needed to thrive. Now, she's ready for her own happy ending! 🥹

💕 A little about Xena:
She's quiet, sweet, and a little shy at first. She enjoys head rubs, gentle affection, and companionship on her own terms. She would love a calm, patient home with someone who understands that trust takes time. ❤️

We need everyone to keep their eyes peeled! Please help us find Raita and her newborn babies. We are assuming she gave birth and is laying low. PLEASE report any sightings.

🚨 Raita was LOST October 9, 2026 in Redding, CT 06896 near Umpawaug Rd, Peaceable St, Goodsell Hill Rd and Redding Rd.
Please spread the word for this lost cat by sharing this post.

💬 Owner's Message: "Raita, a pregnant rescue cat that was about to give birth has escaped her fosters hse. We are absolutely heartbroken for her and her babies that are about to be born. If anyone sees her please call ASAP (DO NOT CHASE). "

We urgently need our community's help locating a heavily pregnant grey tabby foster cat who has gone missing in Redding, CT!

📍 LAST SEEN: Near the intersection of Umpawaug Road and Peaceable Street at Redding Road.

🐱 DESCRIPTION: Female domestic shorthair, grey tabby, visibly pregnant.

⚠️ TIME IS CRITICAL! This mama cat is very close to giving birth, and we are extremely concerned for her safety and the safety of her unborn kittens. She needs to be found and brought somewhere safe as soon as possible!

🙏 HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Keep an eye out around your property, under decks, sheds, garages, and other sheltered areas where she may be hiding or preparing to give birth.

If spotted, please do not chase her! Keep your distance and contact us immediately with her location.
