NOW HIRING: Riding Instructors + Wranglers (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Ocean View Stables is growing and we’re actively hiring with multiple openings available!

We’re looking for dependable, horse-savvy team members who love working with people and take pride in doing things the right way.

Open roles:

Riding Instructors (English/Western—depending on your experience)

Wranglers / Barn & Horse Care Staff

Schedule options: Full-time and part-time available (weekends and some evenings may be needed)

What you’ll do (depending on role):

Teach safe, confidence-building lessons and support riders of different levels

Tack up/untack, groom, and assist with lesson flow and arena safety

Feed, turn out, muck stalls, and support daily barn operations

Help keep horses healthy, calm, and cared for

We’re a great fit if you are:

Reliable, safety-minded, and calm under pressure

Comfortable handling a variety of horses

Friendly with clients and able to work as a team

Experienced (or eager to learn fast with a great attitude)

San Francisco has plenty of places to “find yourself."
But there’s only one where a 1,200-pound mirror will do it for you. 🐴🌊

Two years ago, we bought a tucked-away
Bay Area gem, right here in Daly City, and made a decision that felt a little insane:

We weren’t just going to run a stable.
We were going to build a community.
A place where people take on hard things >on purpose< and come out different.

Because the truth is,
comfort doesn’t build character.

And horses?
Horses don’t let you shortcut the work.

You can’t “talk” your way into trust.
You can’t out-hustle fear.
You can’t fake calm when your body is shouting “no.”

A horse reads what leaders are often too polite to say out loud:

* Are you clear, or chaotic?
* Are you consistent, or only confident on good days?
* Do you demand respect, or earn it?
* Do you regulate your emotions, or export them to everyone around you?

That’s why I believe this, with my whole chest:

Horsemanship is leadership training disguised as a ride.

Every “impossible” task in the saddle becomes a transferable skill off it:
✅ staying steady under pressure
✅ communicating without force
✅ making decisions when you’re unsure
✅ building trust through repetition
✅ taking responsibility for your energy

And here’s the part I’m most proud of:

In just a little over 2 years, this San Francisco / Daly City facility has already created real impact, new riders finding confidence, families finding connection, and adults rediscovering what it feels like to grow again.

Not someday.
Not when it’s convenient.
Now.
