CATAPALOOZA! $20 CAT SPAY/NEUTER!
**It's time to start scheduling for our next Catapalooza on Thursday, Aug 20th.
Counties: Whitfield, Murray, Catoosa, Walker, Gordon, and Bartow**
We have received a generous grant from The Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia through our non-profit, Deacon's Heart, to offer this Catapalooza! We have a secondary grant that we received to match this grant. We can only offer for counties that our donors specify, so we hope you all understand.
If you qualify, $20 is all that's needed for cat spays/neuters and rabies (if needed).
This can be for your personal cats, outside colonies, neighborhood cats, those who have adopted you, etc. If you have a pregnant cat that you need financial assistance with spaying, we can work them in sooner than 8/20.
Here are the details (READ ALL DETAILS BEFORE CALLING TO SCHEDULE):
1. We will schedule 75 female cats and 45 male cats, LIMIT of FIVE (5) per household. If you have more than 5, please let the Call Center representative know so we can help you find other funding for other surgery days.
2. Financial sponsorship is to offset the cost for anyone considered low-income, on disability, veterans, current military, educators, and all first responders.
3. Proof will need to be provided for anyone receiving assistance. This can be a veteran’s card, military/first responders identification, WIC/Food Stamps/Social Security/Medicaid/Disability approval letters, cards, or paystubs/statements.
4. IMPORTANT!!! To schedule the appointment, call 706-671-1104, option 4 and leave a voicemail. If you're requesting financial assistance, proof must be emailed to [email protected] or a picture sent by text to 706-671-1104 to be able to schedule the appointment. If you have left a voicemail, you will need to have your documents ready to send us when we call you back. We will call back in the order received. PLEASE ADD OUR PHONE NUMBER TO YOUR CONTACTS SO THAT OUR RETURN CALL DOES NOT GO STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL. If proof cannot be provided at the time of the call through email or text, you must come in with proof and schedule with our front desk.
5. When the slots are full, we cannot schedule anymore. We will post when the spots are filled.
6. If you need to schedule a cat and do not qualify for assistance, you may still schedule. If we have sooner availability, we can schedule you sooner. Owners requiring assistance will pay $20
per cat to schedule at the time of scheduling; the sponsorship will cover the remainder of surgery and rabies (if needed).
7. Any additional services that are needed for your cat at the time of spay or neuter (fluids, antibiotics, hernia repair, mandatory $7 flea treatment if fleas are present) will be the responsibility of the owner. Approval will be obtained prior, excluding mandatory flea treatment. Payment will be due at pick-up.
8. Any additional services that you would like for your cat will be at your expense and can be selected on the surgery intake form at drop-off. Payment will be due at pick-up.
9. Rescue organizations - because we also rely on grants and raising money through our nonprofit, we can no longer allow you to have spots with financial assistance. It is getting harder and harder to get funding. We can, however, help schedule you larger blocks if needed.
Spots fill up quickly. DO NOT HESITATE TO SCHEDULE. Let's continue to work together to BEAT THE HEAT and stop the cycle of unnecessary litters!
