This Sunday, Whitfield Watchman 2.0 wants to shine a little light on some people doing the Lord’s work right here in our community! ❤️

🐱 Little Bit Of Heaven Rescue in Dalton, Georgia, is giving some of God’s tiniest creatures a second chance at life.

While most of us are going about our busy lives, these compassionate people are dedicating their time, energy, and resources to rescuing cats, caring for them, and helping them find loving homes.

And let’s be real… rescuing animals isn’t always cute kittens and cuddles. It’s hard work, sleepless nights, vet bills, and a whole lot of love. ❤️

We have had SO many amazing adoptions lately that we can barely keep cats in our PetSmart adoption center! 🥹❤️🐾

Our hearts are absolutely overflowing with gratitude. We cannot thank each and every person enough who has opened their heart and home to one of our rescue animals and given them something they all deserve so much a loving family, a safe home, and a lifetime of being truly loved.

These are just SOME of the adoptions we have had recently, and behind every single adoption is a story, a life that was saved, and a future that completely changed.

But there is something so incredibly special about adoption that goes beyond the one animal you take home. When you adopt, you open a spot for another dog or cat who is waiting for their chance to be rescued. Your adoption doesn’t just change one life..it helps us continue saving another.

Hi! I’m Sally Mae, and I’m up for adoption!

I’m a beautiful girl, estimated to be 3–4 years old, and I’m completely ready to find the loving home I deserve. I’m fully vetted, including being spayed, heartworm tested negative, received my mandatory vaccinations, vaccinated for rabies, kept on preventative, and treated for fleas and worms. 💕 I am being potty trained and am learning that quickly as I have been good at not using the bathroom inside.

I’m a very loving girl who absolutely enjoys spending time with my humans. I’m happiest when I can lounge around, relax, and simply enjoy being close to my person. I’m a little princess and I take my food and treat time very seriously! 😂👑

Because of this, I would probably do best as the only princess in the home, or in a home where I can be fed separately from my other furry friends. I have so much love to give and would love nothing more than a family who will let me be their special girl. ❤️

This is what true animal rescue is..
A couple witnessed someone throw this sweet girl out of a vehicle and leave her in the road here in Dalton GA. They weren’t able to get the tag information, but they did manage to get a description of the vehicle. They contacted us and told us what they had seen and, more importantly, the condition she was in.

She was in terrible shape. She was extremely matted, covered in fleas, had road rash, and was clearly in desperate need of help. She had been failed by someone who should have cared for her, and somehow, through all of that, she was still there… still waiting for someone…

We told the witnesses that if they could get her safely, we would meet them and take her into our care and that’s exactly what we did. We took her to a veterinarian, got her the care she needed, and made sure she knew that her life was about to change for the better.

She received her veterinary care, a full checkup, and everything she needed to begin healing. We had Andria Smith give her the most beautiful groom, and when all of that matted fur and dirt was finally gone, we got to see the beautiful little girl we knew that had been hiding underneath it all. She was a diamond in the rough. Andria did nothing short of AMAZING!

And honestly, looking at her now, it is hard to believe this is the same little dog who was thrown from a vehicle and left in the road, hurt, abandoned, and scared…

She has been through things no animal should ever have to experience. She didn’t deserve to be abandoned. She didn’t deserve to be hurt. She didn’t deserve to wonder if anyone was coming to help her…

But someone did. We came. And now, her story gets to have a completely different ending.

She is safe. She is loved. She is cared for. And she is finally ready for the next chapter of her life! Sweet girl, you may have been thrown away by someone, but you were never worthless. We see your worth. We see the beautiful soul that you are. And we promise that from this point forward, you will know what it feels like to be loved, protected, and wanted.

Now, let’s find you an amazing home and a family that will look into those beautiful eyes of yours and see exactly what we see… ❤️ 🐾
