SuperZoo 2026 is officially a wrap! 🐾✨

We spent a few packed days in Vegas checking out new products, spotting trends, meeting with some of the best people in the pet industry, and finding new ideas to bring back home to Odyssey Pets.

Sherry also co-hosts Pet Shop Girls, a podcast created for independent pet professionals, where she and Carly share business tips, industry insight, and real-world advice to help other pet business owners grow. While at SuperZoo, they recorded a special episode LIVE from the show floor!

Trips like this are about so much more than finding new products. They help us stay educated, connected, and ahead of what’s happening in the pet industry—so we can continue bringing the very best back to you and your pets. ❤️

🪸⚔️ CORAL WARFARE IS REAL!

Not all corals are friendly neighbors. In a reef tank, corals are constantly competing for space, light, flow, and resources—and sometimes that competition gets downright aggressive.

Take a look at this chalice vs. Palythoa showdown in our display tank. 👀

Some corals can grow right alongside each other and coexist peacefully. Others use sweeper tentacles, stinging cells, or other chemical defenses to attack their neighbors and keep them from taking over their territory.

In this case, the chalice has decided it’s not sharing. 😂

🪸 Sometimes corals find a balance and coexist.
⚔️ Sometimes one coral slowly wins the battle.
💀 And sometimes… there’s only one winner.

This is one reason coral placement is so important when setting up a reef tank. Just because two corals can physically fit next to each other doesn’t mean they’re going to get along!

Nature is beautiful… but reef tanks can have some serious neighborhood drama. 😂
